[SHOT 2018] Janz-Schuknecht Pistol by JANZ-Prazisionstechnik of Germany
A German company called JANZ-Präzisionstechnik has introduced a new pistol designed by the company’s master gunsmith Horst Schuknecht. It is called Janz-Schuknecht pistol. It is a striker fired locked breech, short barrel recoiling firearm with quite an unusual locking mechanism.
[SHOT 2018] Archon Firearms "Extremely Low Bore Axis" Pistol – the Type B
Archon Firearms, formerly known as Arsenal Firearms USA, showed off to the public their Type B pistol, also formerly known as the Stryk B pistol, at SHOT Show’s Industry Day at the Range. To avoid a potential trademark dispute which would have delayed the introduction of this pistol even longer, Archon Firearms decided to re-brand themselves and the pistol.
[SHOT 2018] Sol Invictus Arms TAC-9 Pistol
At the range day of SHOT Show 2018, a company called Sol Invictus Arms has introduced a 9mm pistol called TAC-9. It is inspired by the TEC-9, which was a similar weapon designed in the mid-’80s by George Kellgren. The TAC-9 has the same overall layout and is a blowback operated firearm too. The main difference is the new lower receiver designed by Sol Invictus Arms.
FMK Firearms Releasing NEW Series of Elite Race Pistols
FMK Firearms is set to unveil a NEW series of Elite Race Pistols to the public at SHOT Show 2018. They will boast what they are calling an Elite Trigger, textured frame with a shock absorbing back-strap and a beveled magwell. The premier component of these pistols though will be the slide. It is custom designed with a cut-out for a Vortex Venom or Trijicon RMR to go directly on it, it takes Glock® compatible iron sights and it employs front and rear slide serrations as well as the slide top being hollowed out for balance and curb appeal.
NEW Century Arms DRACO NAK9 9mm AK Pistol
Circle 10 AK, with the permission from Century Arms, has published on their social media pages the announcement of a new Century Arms AK-based 9x19mm pistol called Draco NAK9. This gun is made in Nova Modul in Cugir, Romania and imported to the USA by Century Arms.

An M17 MHS of Your Own – SIG Will Offer the Army's New Pistol to Civilians
The US Army’s new sidearm, the SIG Sauer M17 Modular Handgun System, will soon be available for purchase on the civilian market. SIG’s Chief Marketing Officer Tom Taylor told Military.com about the decision, saying that about 5,000 of the full size M17 variant will be released to the civilian market sometime in early 2018:
M17 Holster Unveiled as Safariland 7TS Variant
The first holster to be issued with the US Army’s new Modular Handgun System, including both the M17 and M18 pistols, will be a variant of the Safariland 7TS holster, featuring both ALS and SLS locking systems. The holster is the first of at least three holsters to be procured as part of the MHS program, to be followed by a variant that accommodates an aiming laser/light module, as well as a concealed holster for the M18 compact variant. The holster was procured through the tailored logistics program, and the vendor selected for its ability to meet MHS’s timeline, according to a Military.com article written by Matthew Cox.
M17 MHS to Arm Soldiers Down to Team Leader Level
The US Army has announced a decision to field the M17 MHS as a sidearm to more soldiers than were previously issued M9 handguns. Where previously only senior leadership were authorized to carry handguns, with the new M17 and M18 Modular Handgun System squad and team leaders will be authorized. The move is intended to give those leaders greater flexibility in close quarters battle. Military.com reports:
Hungarian MINIMAX 9 Pocket Pistol
This odd-looking gadget is a Hungarian pocket pistol made in the mid-’80s. It is called Minimax 9 with the digit indicating its caliber – 9mm. It was designed to be chambered in various 9mm calibers including the 9x19mm Luger, 9x17mm (.380 auto) and 9x18mm. It was fed from a 4-round non-detachable magazine. This was a manual repeater, not a semi-auto pistol.

Full Conceal M3 FOLDING Glock 19 Pistols Now Shipping
Full Conceal is now shipping their Glock 19 folding pistol conversion called M3. The folding mechanism allows having a more compact carry package which in a matter of seconds unfolds and becomes a Glock 19 with a 21-round magazine. The reason why they advertise it with the 22-round capacity (21 round mag plus one in the chamber) is that the 21-round magazine most efficiently fits the slide length neither sticking out nor coming short of the overall length of the folded gun. The M3 pistol is available for purchase on Full Conceal’s website for $1,399 (the price includes one Magpul 21-round magazine).
