Tactical Edge Arms AR-15 Style Pistols (RD-9, RD-10, RD-45)

Tactical Edge Arms has added 10mm and .45 ACP versions of their RD series of pistols. The 9mm version was introduced earlier in October. The model designations RD-9, RD-10 and RD-45 indicate the calibers these firearms are chambered in – 9mm Luger, 10mm Auto and .45 APC respectively.

These are blowback operated firearms. They feature ambidextrous safety selectors and side charging handles on left sides of upper receivers. All the three models come with Cerakote paint available in three color options: black, grey or bronze. The upper and lower receivers are machined of billet aluminum. The 4150 nitrided barrels are 8.3″ long for the 9mm version and 8″ long for the 10mm and .45 ACP caliber guns.

All the models are compatible with Glock magazines of the corresponding caliber. These guns come with Maxim Defense CQB adjustable braces. Other parts that come standard with these firearms are Tactical Edge Warfighter Dynamic Combat Trigger, Magpul MBUS sights, Magpul MOE+ grip and Tactical Edge AAH hand stop.

RD-9, RD-10 and RD-45 pistols are available for purchase through the Tactical Edge Arms website. The MSRP is $2,079.99 regardless of the caliber and color option.

SBRing these pistols and adding a suppressor will make them great home defense tool. To me, these are also beautiful firearms if there is something like tactical aesthetics.

The company calls the barrels “gas blowback”. This term is said to indicate the fact that the barrel is made for a blowback operated firearm. Have you heard the term “gas blowback barrel” before?
