Rossi Tuffy .410 Youth Shotgun

The Tuffy is a new single shot youth shotgun chambered in .410. It features a thumbhole stock that can store five rounds, and has a viewing window for checking how many rounds are stored.

Two models are available, one in stainless, the other in matte blue. Both has 18.5″ barrels and weight 3 lbs. The MSRP is $172 (I think this is for the blue version).

The first Rossi I shot was a .22 / . 410 matched pair. They are really neat guns and an ideal inexpensive candidate for teaching children shot to shoot.

Major News: Taurus Acquires Rossi

Rossi has been purchased by Taurus. They are both Brazilian firms so this makes sense. It looks like it is not just the US firearm industry that is consolidating.

Rossi

Forjas Taurus S.A. announces its acquisition of the manufacturing and distribution rights of all Rossi products, including the famous Model 92 lever-action rifle from Rossi Firearms S.A.

I have mentioned many times how much I like Rossi products. I hope this does not affect quality (relative to their low price) or supply.

Make your singleshot rifle TactiCool

ATI has some products to make your single shot Rossi or H&R rifle look more like an AR-15 patterned rifle.

The above photo has the “Collapsible, six-position SHOTFORCE Buttstock with Pistol Grip and Forend Package is patterned after the Colt AR-15/M-4 style assault rifle.” installed as well as the Muzzle Mount, laser and heat shield. The Muzzle Mount is a fake muzzle break and does not extend past the end of the barrel.

Now I have no problem with people installing a pistol grip. If you prefer it ergonomically then go for it. But a head shield on a single shot rifle?
