Hydra Weaponry has spent years of R&D to develop their new Hydra 10, a DPMS-patterned rifle in .308 Winchester suited for those with long-range precision shooting to tactical applications in mind. The furniture is from BLK Systems and the gun has a Quick-Change Barrel Upper Receiver (QCB-D). The lower is compatible with standard SR-25 magazines. The Hydra 10 comes in barrel lengths of 16″ and 18″, offered in both black and coyote tan color options, with a suggested retail price (MSRP) of $2,349.

After a long wait, the famed “Kitty Kat” is making a grand comeback at DPMS, a subsidiary of the PSA family of companies known for its top-tier firearms. Best identified by its 7-inch barrel and pistol-length gas system, the re-emergence of the Kitty Kat has stirred excitement among firearm enthusiasts.

Georgia-based firearms manufacturer 21st Tec is proud to introduce their new rifle that combines the 7.62×29 cartridge with the DPMS/LR308 AR10 platform – the TEC47 rifle. The TEC47 uses some unique parts to allow the rifle to feed from common AK mags, and cycle reliably with the 7.62x39mm cartridge. These rifles are in current production and will be selling for a suggested MSRP of $1,399 beginning on September 29th of this year.

Hello and welcome back to another edition of The Rimfire Report! This ongoing series is all about the rimfire firearm world and its many types of guns, gear, shooting sports, and ammunition types! Last week we talked about a recent upgrade that was released for the KelTec P17 pistol. The new optics-ready slide is a cool addition to the pistol’s capabilities but I’m still debating on whether or not it’s a solid recommendation from me as it puts the pistol on the same price scale as the much more reliable and durable SIG P322 or even the classic Ruger Mark IV Lite. If the price were a bit lower for the entire package, I’d say it would be 100% worth picking up – so maybe wait for a sale or something because it’s certainly a lot of fun for a compact lightweight 22LR pistol. Today we’re going to combine the rimfire world with the world of clone builds. As you might have guessed from the title, today we’re talking about the DPMS Model RFA2-KIT or “Kitty Kat.” This pint-sized AR was originally intended to be used by SWAT entry teams which explains the ridiculously short 7″ barrel – even if you’re losing a lot of velocities, 5.56 has more than enough speed left to cause some serious damage at ranges you’d typically encounter baddies at indoors. However, if you’ve built one of these, you know you’re not training to use it for a planned entry – you’re probably mag-dumping it like the rest of us – and that’s expensive. Today we’re going to go over some of my recent experiences combining both Hop’s clone of the DPMS Kitty Kat, as well as CCMG’s latest iteration of their BRAVO 22LR conversion kit – this winning combination makes playing around with the Kitty Kat just a tad bit less expensive, and a whole lot more fun.

In this episode of TFBTV, James Reeves tests a $450 hodge-podge kit build AR-15 – a complete DMPS upper on a complete Stag lower – against his personal top-tier Bravo Company Mk2 complete rifle. To spice things up a bit, James has outfitted the BCM with a $1,800 Maven RS.4 5-30x optic, and the DPMS will be using a cheap $250 Bushnell 4-16x scope. James shoots both rifles at 100 yards and compares performance using CBC 55gr M193 ammunition, 55gr Wolf Gold, 62gr ZQI/MKE, and Hornady Black 75gr. Some would argue that the current firearms market is oversaturated with AR style rifles. This may be true, but this will generally lead to a situation where prices on existing models are driven down, making them more affordable. I know I have seen quite a few sub-$500 AR-15 rifles lately. I suspect you have also.

Not even a month has gone by since the recent weapons found and seized in Spain. Just last week, Haiti discovered a shipment of guns and ammo. While not as many as the one in Spain, it has been reported that Haiti customs in St. Marc found 117 guns, 116 boxes of ammunition (30,000 cartridges), 15 handcuffs, military uniforms, boots, cell phone chargers and other gear in a truck from Miami. Another website, HaitiLibre, detailed the seizure.

F-1 Firearms is living up to their name releasing their latest go-fast parts, this time for the .308 platform. The new BDR-10-3G billet receiver set is designed for the shooter were speed and looks trump practicality (or where speed and looks are their own kind of practicality).

DPMS/Remington/AAC came out to Big 3 East and they brought out their G2 rifles.

Aero Precision has released their long-awaited .308 receivers. The receivers are DPMS (Gen 1)-patterned. Both receivers are machined from forged 7075 t6 aluminum and then mil-spec anodized.

Remington just can’t seem to get itself out of legal battles, now being sued by Daniel Defense for trademark infringement. Daniel Defense claims that Remington, more specifically Remington’s subsidiary DPMS, has been knocking off their slogan (“Lighter. Stronger. Better.”( and trademark dual chevrons (“>>”).

Not content with the current G2 .308 offerings this year, DPMS has released the Compact Hunter. Using a 16″ barrel and collapsible stock, the Compact Hunter loses some weight and height to create a svelte smaller package. Sadly, losing the weight kept the price the same. MSRP is $1,699.
