Raven Concealment Releases Lictor M4 Mag Carrier

Raven Concealment Systems has been cranking out holsters, magazine carriers, and related products for over a decade. Some of their noted prior offerings include items like Eidolon holsters and the Vanguard series, or their Copia mag pouches. Now they’ve released a new mag carrier, originally designed for low-profile usage to conceal AR/M4 mags under plain clothes. The main use case for the style of Raven’s new Lictor AR Magazine Pouch would be in the context of a personal security detail or armed bodyguard situation, which is where the Latin-origin name “Lictor” comes from. Check out the press release below for product details.

Law Enforcement Protective Operations

I recently attended Law Enforcement Protective Operations with Alexander Global Strategies. This was a 5 day course at the Alliance Police Range in Alliance, Ohio. This course teaches the fundamentals of executive protection. Due to the student base of this course, content focused on departments providing or assisting a protection team. However, the same information could be used by the private citizen to protect their significant other.

POTD: GlockFish

Oh Japan, you come up with some of the craziest things. This photo is of a Tokyo Marui Glock hidden inside a fake fish. It would be great if it did nothave the 5.56 belt sticking out of the fish. I suspect that this might be an Electric pistol so it is full auto and does not have a reciprocating slide like a gas blow back gun.

[SHOT 2016] Kimber's New K6S Revolver

Kimber, a love-’em-or-hate-’em company that cut its teeth making custom 1911s and transitioned into the high-end production semi-auto pistol market, expanded its operation with an announcement at the 2016 SHOT Show Industry Day At The Range to include a compact, six-shot .357 Magnum revolver. Kimber’s selling points for the new gun are its higher capacity than others in its class (competing directly with 5-shot .357 revolvers), magnum caliber, and small size.

Massad Ayoob's 10 Commandments of Concealed Carry

Sometimes the best instructors are “Old School” and there are (in my opinion) no better old school instructors than Massad Ayoob. So, when he issues commandments (on the Daily Caller), I have a tendency to pay close attention. I mean, who could not fault “Commandment I”

Larry Vickers Takes a Look At The 5.45×18 PSM

Russian-small-arms enthusiasts will be pretty excited to watch the below video; trigger time on the PSM deep-concealment handgun, a pistol virtually unknown in the US as it is too small to comply with ATF import regulations (a similar obstacle prevents the importation of true Walther PPKs). Larry Vickers walks us through shooting the gun, which is chambered for a unique 5.45×18 caliber, capable of penetrating light body armor, while being in the same class as the .32 ACP:

"Concealed": Women Photographed with Guns (Being Unsafe)

Houston, Texas, based photographer Shelley Calton recently decided to document the rising number of women who carry concealed handguns in a photographic series she aptly named “Concealed.” Calton is a native of the Houston area and recalls growing up around firearms; her father kept a pistol in the bedside table for home defense, and shooting tin cans was a common enough event which she participated in along with her two sisters. But as Calton got older, guns became less a part of her life, and it wasn’t until the day a rather concerning story was relayed to her that her interest was renewed.
