Lancer Systems has updated their L5 Advanced Warfighter Magazine with a new Gen 2 version. Like the prior version, it combines steel feed lips with a polymer body. The L5AWM Gen 2 offers updated feed lip geometry and refined design compared to the original.
308 Magazine Showdown – Whats The Best AR-10 Option?
Over the last few years, I’ve been flooded with the same question about what 308 magazine is best for AR platforms. In a perfect world, I could sum this article up in about two seconds by saying buy Knights Armament SR-25 magazines. The problem with the Knights SR-25 magazine is the staggering price of $95.79 per magazine. Typically I like to have at least 10 magazines to run through guns so I’m not constantly loading at the range.
[SHOT 2019] Lancer System's NEW L30 Aerial Interdiction Rifle and Modular Handguards
Lancer’s new L30 AIR (Aerial Interdiction Rifle) was designed for gunners from an aerial platform. Chambered in both .308 and 6.5 Creedmoor, this rifle was designed with being lightweight for caliber as well as compact. The upper receiver was developed with weight reduction in mind, and lacks a forward assist and dust cover. Further weight reduction is achieved with the selection of Rubber City Armory’s Ti Bolt carrier group. It’s skeletonized rail is compatible with most rail mounted brass catching or deflecting devices, a must when used from most helicopters.
[SHOT 2018] Lancer's New AR Magazine Well Extension and .300 AAC Blackout Advanced Warfighter Magazine
This year at SHOT 2018 Lancer has produced a new AR magazine well extension and a designated .300 AAC BLK Advanced Warfighter Magazine (AWM). After hearing of a designated .300 AAC BLK magazine I was somewhat confused as I had always assumed magazines would function the same whether running .223, 5.56, or .300 Blackout. When I asked more about the magazine I found the .300 Blackout magazine had a different internal geometry with increased rib clearance for better feeding and to prevent binding with 200-grain bullets or heavier, significantly increasing reliability.

TFB's 7th Day Of Christmas: Magazines
Ok, there is is nothing earth-shattering buried within TFB’s seventh day of Christmas. But no matter how many magazines you have collected over the years, it’s always fun to be gifted more. Or, if you are looking for last minute or Secret Santa gifts for the special shooters in your life, mags are a safe bet.
Gun Review: Lancer L30 LTR Precision Rifle
Lancer Systems is known for their high quality polymer magazines for ARs and other small arms. A few years ago, Lancer entered the accessories market with their carbon-fiber furniture and flared magwell add-on. Nowadays, Lancer Systems is making completed AR-15 and AR-10 style high-end rifles. I recently tested the Lancer L30 LTR Precision Rifle and I was very impressed by it.
[SHOT 2016] Lancer handguard for Sig MPX
Lancer has come out with a handguard for the Sig MPX series of SBRs or pistols. They are in their classic M LOK configuration, and come in either 8 inch, 10 inch, or 14 inch lengths for the different barrel lengths that the MPX comes in. The handguards attach to the rifle via the normal installation methods. The top rail of the MPX is maintained as that is apart of the Sig gas system, while the handguards wrap around the barrel, below the top picatinny rail. The M LOK sections are at the traditional 3,6, and 9 o’clock, while there are also additional sections between the 9 and the 6 o’clock, and the 3 and 6 o’clock positions. Similar to the Springfield Armory CQB, M LOK was picked because Keymod would have been much harder to fit into the carbon fiber handguards while maintaining its shape. There is an addition section of the handguard that extends past the top rail, also with M LOK sections, while the sides of this part have the serrated and angled cuts similar to the cuts that the MPX already has in the top section. At this time I don’t have an MSRP for the MPX handguards, but I think it’ll be in the $200-300 range, similar to some of their other carbon fiber handguards.
