Every day TFB brings you a bunch of fantastic photos that you most likely never would have seen elsewhere. Today’s Photo Of The Day is an M1A2 Abrams tank firing at a live-fire exercise in Bulgaria. The photo is taken by Sgt. Alan Brutus, USA, and I wonder how he pulled this photo off? Any ideas?

The first online photograph is said to have been published by Tim Berners-Lee in 1992. It’s uncertain how many were actually able to see the image at that time, probably not that many. TFB’s Photo Of The Day is a lot more popular for sure. Here we do our best to focus on interesting high-quality images, like the “frozen” 105mm round above.

TFB has been running our very special Photo Of The Day for years, sharing great photos from around the world and the world of firearms. Sometimes there is a special story behind the pictures, and sometimes – like today – we just run a bunch of super cool images for no special reason. This is like a stock car race with Russian main battle tanks and other military vehicles.

With the gun forward the M1A2 is 32.04 ft (9.77 m) long.

Each day a different image from the World of firearms. We call this POTD, short for Photo Of The Day, and it is our daily article series where we go to great length trying to find the most interesting pictures for you out there.

We recently watched the Russian Special Forces getting their first batch of AK-12s. In this Photo Of The Day, we’re looking at the 1st Guards Tank Army (Taman Armored Division near Moscow) as they get their first batch of modernized T-90M tanks.

In today’s Photo Of The Day, we find ourselves in South Korea. We’re looking at M1A2 Abrams Main Battle Tanks doing their thing at the Rodriquez Live Fire Complex. The M1 Abrams tanks are with the 6th Squadron, 9th Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division to conduct gunnery qualification.
