As many of you have noticed by now I like atypical firearms. This may involve using accessories not originally designed for that platform. Well, when BOYDS offered up their gun stocks for review, I jumped at the chance to try out the BOYDS AT-ONE Mossberg 500 stock but to see if I could use it on my Ruger PC Carbine. I will explain how I did that in a little bit but first, let’s take a look at the stock.

I have an affinity for older guns. For whatever reason, I simply enjoy shooting guns that have some historical significance, even if it is minor. But this leads to a problem: how do you balance the wear and tear that comes with shooting or carrying an old gun against keeping that gun in good shape? Enter Boyds Gunstocks.

The folks over at Boyds Gunstocks are in the business of refreshing the old and bringing in the new. Boyds laminate gunstocks are in my opinion some of the best aftermarket wood stocks that you can get for the money and they recently sent me over one of their AT-ONE rifle stocks. The Boyds AT-ONE series of stocks is meant to take your old bolt action rifle and breathe new life into it and I personally think the Boys AT-ONE adds a lot of functionality to an otherwise unimpressive and old rifle. For this review, I used an entry-level Remington 770 chambered in .270 Winchester – a popular hunting cartridge down here in the south. Today we’ll go over some of the features of the AT-ONE stock, my experiences with installing it, and how it adds to the value of an otherwise budget-minded hunting rifle and turns it into something more functional for only a couple hundred dollars.

Boyds Hardwood Gunstocks in partnership with Savage has released their newest firearm stock for Savage bolt action rifles. The Savage 10 Bottom Bolt Release with Bull Barrel and Detachable magazine can be customized with 15 different gun stock shapes and 13 different types of laminate and can finally be finished off with custom engraving from Boyds.

The Sauer 100 was introduced by Sauer & Sohn back in 2016. Sauer & Sohn is the oldest firearms manufacturer that’s still active in Germany, which is why it’s so cool to see support for their weapons still on the market. The Sauer 100 has just been added to the long list of rifles with Boyds aftermarket stock options.

Leading into SHOT Show 2020, Boyds Gunstocks, the South Dakota-based hardwood gunstock manufacturer, has unveiled a new, more-affordable replacement thumbhole stock dubbed the Spike Camp! This new thumbhole gunstock shape is designed with simplicity in mind, and looks to cut into the gunstock market at a value price that competitors simply cannot reach. It was on Tuesday, January 22nd that  The Firearm Blog broke the news of a NEW Boyds At-One Adjustable Thumbhole stock. The Press Release directly from Boyds clued us all in on the new gun stocks that would be immediately available for 2019, but it is always better to check them out in person… So we did! We headed over to the Boyds booth at SHOT Show and handled some of the At-One stocks for ourselves.

On the 1st day of SHOT Show when the convention center doors open and firearm lovers rush the floor like it is Black Friday, we have an announcement from Boyds Gunstocks. They have taken their extremely popular At-One Adjustable Gunstocks and tied in an additional line of stocks for shooters with an At-One Thumbhole. The one time I tried stopping by the Boyds Gunstock booth at this year’s SHOT Show it was slammed with wall to wall people. If you aren’t familiar, Boyds is a supplier of laminate and hardwood gunstocks for nearly any rifle or shotgun imaginable. I used a Boyds stock on my 77/357 ‘Grey Ghost’ build featured here at TFB a few years back. The king of affordable rifle stocks just released a new model: the At-One. This laminate stock features an adjustable check rest and butt pad as well as rubberized sections for added grip and comfort.

Boyds Hardwood Gunstocks has been very busy bringing out new stocks in recent months. One of the latest aftermarket stock fits they offer is for the long action Winchester XPR rifles.

Boyds Gunstocks, Inc. now offers hardwood replacement stocks for the Savage Arms A17 rifles. These stocks come in a variety of colors and styles.

If you’re a fan of the Mossberg Patriot rifle, you might be interested in the latest offering from Boyds. Boyds, a company known for the manufacture of hardwood stocks, has come out with a replacement hardwood stock for Mossberg’s newest bolt-action. The new stocks are being offered in a variety of styles including the Classic, Featherweight Thumbhole, Heritage, Platinum, Prairie Hunter, ProVarmint, and Varmint Thumbhole. Better still, left-handed models will also be offered.

Boyds is now offering hardwood replacement stocks for the Benjamin Marauder Gen 2 airgun. The new stocks are available in both the Pro Varmint and Varmint Thumbhole styles.
