Boyds is now offering hardwood replacement stocks for the Benjamin Marauder Gen 2 airgun. The new stocks are available in both the Pro Varmint and Varmint Thumbhole styles.

Boyds states the company designed these stocks to improve fit to the shooter for “…greater control and improved eye-scope alignment…” to ultimately improve accuracy. Customizations on the stocks can be ordered, such as having a custom length of pull, custom grips, an adjustable cheek comb and other bits.

In addition to improving shooter fit, the Boyd’s stocks can also improve the appearance of the gun. Custom woods and colors are available. Standard color options include:

  • black
  • nutmeg
  • pepper
  • forest camo

It is the Gen 1 rifles that really need aftermarket stocks.

I use to own a gen one Mrod in 22. it was accurate at 30 yards and landed my first 2 coons with it but the stock was like a damn boat, the F'ing worst POS they could had come up with. I recently picked up a new gen 2 Mrod in 22 and out of the box it grouped .5 inches at 50 yards with 18.1 grain JSB pellets. The gen 2 with the stock redesign is a huge improvement.I see no reason to go with a after market stock unless you want something unique,
