Safariland is probably most well known for catering almost exclusively to the Law Enforcement and Military market. However, it’s become clear in recent times that Safariland is taking an increased interest in providing everyday customers with products more suited to their lifestyle with firearms. That’s why Safariland is excited to announce their newest OWB holster – the easy-to-conceal Solis. I’ve had one of these little rigs for the last month or so and what’s great about the Solis is that it provides a lot of versatility for a customer who may only have the money for one holster, but wants to use it for everything ranging from ECD to possibly even competition shooting. The holster comes with a paddle-style attachment for your waist and belt, but in these photos, you’ll see I’ve adapted it for use on a battle belt for some recent range trips.

The New Easy-to-Conceal OWB Solis Holster from Safariland

Jacksonville, Florida Safariland®, a brand of The Safariland Group®, a leading global provider of safety products designed for the public safety, military, professional and outdoor markets and one of Cadre Holdings, Inc.’s (NYSE: CDRE) (“Cadre”) key brands, is proud to announce a new holster family designed for outside the waist accessibility and effective concealment potential.

Solis™ accommodates subcompact duty pistols with lights and optics. The iconic ALS® system secures your firearm automatically as it is holstered, allowing a fast, natural draw with the swipe of the thumb release as you acquire your shooting grip.

“Solis provides the familiarity of a Safariland outside the waistband holster but in a low profile, easily concealed design,” said Eric Gasvoda, GM of Duty Gear for Safariland. “This new offering is a culmination of dedicated product development based on valuable customer input. Solis is an ideal addition to our outside the waistband holster family and provides a new carry option to the firearm and law enforcement community.”

Built from a durable, weather-resistant SafariSeven™ non-marking nylon blend, Solis protects your firearm with rugged durability. The holster’s open muzzle end design allows for easy debris removal and accommodates threaded barrels.

Key features include:

  • ALS® secures firearm once holstered: simple straight-up draw once the release is deactivated
  • Compatible with most Red Dot Sights
  • Compact Light Compatible
  • Two-piece reinforced holster body for increased strength

Current Solis holster fits include Glock 43/43X/48 and Sig Sauer P365/P365XL. To learn more about this innovative design and how Safariland is committed to building lifesaving equipment, visit Safariland.com.

The new Solis ALS concealment holster is currently available directly from Safariland for a starting price of just $80. The way I see it, if you’re wanting to run virtually any configuration of either the P365 or the Glock 43/48/43x, you can do it with this holster which still provides you with a concealable package that’s also comfortable to wear and can adapt to whatever accessories you might want to add to your gun for different range days.
