New from Sharps Bros for 2023 is a grip module for SIG Sauer P365X and P365XL pistols. This new grip module is machined out of a solid block of 7075-T6 aluminum and has a mil-spec black anodized finish, but also features Brazilian Cherry grip panels which really change how it feels giving it that warm feel of the wood that metal and polymer grips lack.

Today, we will look at their enhanced Livewire AR-15 Lower Receiver as well as additional components of theirs such as the Badlands Integrated Muzzle Brake and Blast Deflector to see how they fare in ease of build and durability. Sharps Bros has released a new AR-15 lower receiver dubbed Showdown. The new Sharps Bros Showdown lower receiver has a samurai mask/facial armor themed magazine well. It joins the Jack, Warthog, Overthrow and Hellbreaker in the company’s line of lower receivers with special magwell designs.

Unlike the standard AR-15 lower receivers which are primarily made of forgings, the majority of custom receivers are machined from solid blocks of aluminum. This was the case with the Sharps Bros Livewire lower receiver too, however, the company has announced that from now on they will be making these receivers from custom 7075 aluminum forgings made by  Anchor Harvey. Sharps Bros Heatseeker bolt action rifle chassis was first introduced in November of 2019 and was initially available only for Howa mini action barreled actions. Back then, the company stated that they were planning to expand the line adding more footprints. Well, the second member of the Heatseeker chassis family has been recently released and it is designed for the Ruger American Rifle. Let’s take a closer look.

Sharps Bros published on their social media pages pictures of a 3D printed prototype of what will eventually become an aluminum grip and Picatinny rail compatible stock adapter for Thompson/Center Contender rifles and pistols.

Back in August of the current year, we took a sneak peek at the pre-production prototype of Sharps Bros chassis called Heatseeker. A couple of days ago, three months after the release of the first pictures, the company announced that the Heatseeker is available for purchase. Let’s take a look at the final features and specs of this chassis.

Today’s Photo Of The Day was found in one of the online communities dedicated to AKs. It depicts a half-built  Wolfpack Armory AK with a carbon fiber wrapped barrel. While carbon fiber barrels are nothing new in the industry and there are probably half a dozen companies making such barrels, they are mostly seen on bolt action rifles and AR-15/AR-10 pattern gas guns. For whatever reason, we don’t often see other firearms with carbon fiber wrapped barrels. In fact, this is the first time I ever see an AK with such a barrel.

Sharps Bros published a video on their social media pages, where John Sharps, the owner of the company, shows the prototype of an upcoming new product – the Heatseeker aluminum chassis for Howa 1500 Mini Action barreled actions. Let’s see what unique features Sharps Bros brings to the market of bolt action rifle chassis.

If you are into AKs then you probably know about the  Sharps Bros MB47 milled 7.62x39mm AK receivers. But did you know that recently the company has released the 5.45x39mm version of this receiver called MB74? This new receiver has all the good features of the 7.62mm one but its dimensions are tailored for the 5.45mm AK parts.

Sharps Bros has introduced a new AR-15 lower receiver called Livewire. Unlike their previous lower receivers (Warthog, Hellbreaker,  Overthrow and  The Jack), Livewire has a more traditional look. The new receiver has several nice features like the flared magazine well and the enlarged trigger guard.

When it comes to airsoft more and more consumers are looking for weapons that resemble their real firearms.
