Pump Action AK from Roll Call Custom Armory
We have previously covered the pump-action AR-15 (both the Troy PAR and the novel Bentwood Gunsmithin g), but this is definitely something new. Roll Call Custom Armory has produced a custom Romaninan AK-47 under-folder pump-action rifle.
Strike's New Trigger Finger Placement Enhancer
We’ve all had the value of shot placement drilled into us ad nauseam, and for good reason; it’s absolutely important. But if certain other factors aren’t taken into account as well your shot placement is going to suffer, and one of those factors is proper trigger finger placement.
CMMG Mk. 47 Mutant Pricing And Details
Our own Alex C has already posted a thorough review of the new CMMG dedicated 7.62×39 AR-15, so be sure to go check that out. Meanwhile, CMMG has released model and pricing details, through a press release:

AKs in Emergency Mode
The AK Operators Union, Local 47-74 has posted a video on the capabilities of operating AK-47 weapon systems in “emergency situations”. In short, they show that the AK weapon system can be operated without the dust cover and more interestingly, without the recoil spring (with some risk that the bolt will come off the rails and hit you).
POTD: Texan Kids and Short Barrel Rifles
Earlier this week I featured a photo of a Rifle Dymanics Krinkov, another reader emailed us a photo of his kids with the first Krinkov made by Rifle Dynamics.
POTD: Rifle Dynamics Tula Krink
LordStickMax sent us this photo of his first NFA acquisition, a Rifle Dynamics Tula Krink chambered in 5.45x39mm. He has since added a Colt Commando and 5.56mm suppressor to his collection.
POTD: The Golden Chicken AK
Kids, drug money does not buy class. Proof of this are the many hideous custom guns confiscated by Latin American law enforcement from drug lords. Back in 2009 I blogged a photo of a highly customized golden AK with a horse head as the front sight. I have embedded it below. That gun was clearly made by the same craftsman as the above chicken-sight AK. I was unable to find out when or where this gun was captured.

Russian Students Field Strip an AK
While American kids are busy occupying their time trying to stack cups or solve Rubik’s cubes as fast as they can, these Russian students are competing in a competition. The goal? To disassemble or reassemble an AK. Just watch the kid at 3:00 min into the video. He is wearing a glove just so he can go faster. It is really impressive to watch. I am a little jealous that my PE classes in High School didn’t have AR field stripping challenges.

Comparative Weapon Analysis of Crimea Troops and Eastern Ukraine Militias
In both the Crimea and Eastern Ukraine anti-government troops, without identification on their uniforms, popped up supposedly from nowhere. Nobody had any doubt that the troops in the Crimea where professional Russian soldiers. They were highly disciplined, armed with the latest Russian equipment and well supported. It has been assumed by many that the Eastern Ukraine militias occupying government buildings are also Russian soldiers. Arto Pulkki at Suomen Sotilas, a Finnish Military magazine, makes a compelling case that the Ukraine militias are not Russian troops, but rather an assorted rabble of civilians and retired or reserve soldiers …
