Kalashnikov USA has been busy the past few months developing and releasing variants of their 7.62x39mm KR-103 rifle. Now after many requests from the community, they have finally added the much desired KUSA KR-104 short-barreled rifle for sale. Based on the Russian AK-104 assault rifle, this is a 12.5 inch barreled, 7.62x39mm chambered factory SBR equipped with a left-side folding stock.

Kalashnikov USA has just added a new variant to their already extremely popular KR-103 line. This new model is the KUSA VISKOV rifle. An upgraded KR-103 with some quality of life upgrades, for the more tactically minded AK connoisseur. These upgrades include an attached flip-up Picatinny top cover, collapsible stock, and M-LOK rail system among a few other things.

It’s been a while since we hade some Kalashnikov content, but in today’s Photo Of The Day that is luckily changing. Who would have thought that one day you could buy Kalashnikovs Made in the USA?

Kalashnikov USA undertook to find out themselves, and they’ve subjected the KP-9 to 20,000 rounds of steel case ammunition without cleaning to see how the KP-9 performed. Kalashnikov USA has announced the release of their first optics product – a red dot sight called BARS Advanced Combat Micro Optic. This is a non-magnified open-emitter red dot sight that is advertised as an extremely rugged sight developed for the AK platform. Let’s see what features this new RDS packs.

Kalashnikov USA’s popular KP-9 pistol has made quite a splash in the pistol caliber carbine revival, which means that the aftermarket is starting to ramp up.  While browsing Reddit, I found a product made for the KP-9 that replaces the hollow gas tube with a left-side charging handle.  The “Vector 7.62 HK Style” charging handle is a drop-in replacement that allows users to operate the bolt carrier with the left hand and includes a bolt hold-open cutout for the handle.

Over the last year, the Kalashnikov KP-9 has become increasingly popular in the gun market as a cheaper alternative to the MP5 clones and other AR-style PCC guns. I have finally had my KP-9 out of the ATF jail so it is an SBR and I finally was able to run it as an SBR for a couple thousand rounds. After I spent some time with it, I’m excited to talk about the good and bad I’ve experienced so far with the fun little KP-9. Let’s dive into this little PCC tac driver.

With a name like Kalashnikov USA, what kind of guns do you expect? Yes, the Soviet kind… I had the good fortune of going to check out their factory in Florida.

The sanctions on Russian companies have hit the American AK enthusiast hard – no longer can we import inexpensive Izhevsk Kalashnikovs to feed the beast. Yet, there is a silver lining: Domestic AK production is on the rise to meet the demand, and one company in particular is staking its name – the biggest name in the business – on American-made AKs done right. That name being, of course, Kalashnikov USA.

Kalashnikov USA, orphaned stateside importing partner of Kalashnikov Concern, brought their latest prototype and production guns to the 2018 SHOT Show, and there is good reason to be excited. Chief among them: The KR-9 9mm AK carbine.

I was fortunate enough to be invited to the Agency Arms event out at the Las Vegas Pro Gun Club. There were some other manufacturers there letting invitees to shoot some of their guns along with a selection of Agency Arms’ line of pistols.
