A Look Into Kalashnikov USA
With a name like Kalashnikov USA, what kind of guns do you expect? Yes, the Soviet kind… I had the good fortune of going to check out their factory in Florida.
Kalashnikov USA, while they used to be an importer, now is a manufacturer. They currently, 2019, produce their KS-12 Shotgun, patterned of a Saiga, and their KP-9 (Vityaz).
While both guns are fun to shoot, the KP-9 was probably my favorite. A small compact 9mm patterned directly off the original Vityaz sub-machine gun.

Hi! I'm Ivan,I grew up spending a lot of time outdoors. Lots of backpacking and camping trips as well as extensive international travel Eventually I landed in the Marine Corps in the late 90's, spending my time in the infantry. After a hiatus from the military to race the Baja 1000 a couple times, I got myself another DD-214 with more time spent in the Air Force. Departing that I wound up with large metropolitan Police Department for a spell, and eventually landed in the Security Contracting world.The one constant through all of these experiences was gear and weapons. Yeah I'm not too sure how I feel about this. On the one hand it's not like Kalashnikov is going to be selling guns here anytime soon but on the other hand these are the most like a Chinese iPhone out of all the US AKs on sale out there. I mean these guys are not trying to come at you as an importer like century or as a did-it-ourselves mfg. like DDI they are calling themselves "Kalashnikov" USA and IVAN is claiming they have the actual "TDP" for the Vityaz. This is way beyond "Springfield Armory", at least they legally acquired the rights for that name and didn't have to resort to calling themselves "Springfield USA".
BTW why does Ivan always seem to end up on shill duty? Give the guy a break and send him on assignment to cover the PRS or Tactical training for couch potatoes or something. He's been vouching for some potential BS in my opinion. Before this he was speaking for SIG's M17 straight from their own press releases and mouthing the same key words they've been putting out ever since the Army cancelled the MHS after phase I and never round tested the 320. Is it a great gun? probably, nearly almost as good as the Glock but with more snazzy features. Do we need to hear about what a world beater it is even though the Army fell in love over price only? No.They smelled the perfume and couldn't keep it in their pants - you could have put a donkey in a dress and gotten them bite and now we're grooming out the burrs. Good thing it's only a side arm. At least it looks cool.
I would have liked more info on who the hell is Kalashnikov USA? At least offer us a swag pack if your not going to report on anything other than products. o.O
Could you have found a worse person for this video? My 8 ball says probably not.
