Bars is a Russian word (барс) which means snow leopard, that’s why the logo of the sight depicts this big cat.

The Kalashnikov USA BARS sight has a 26mm objective lens with what the company calls advanced lens coating. The 3-MOA dot has 10 brightness settings including two for using the sight with night vision devices. Brightness level adjustments, as well as turning the sight on and off, are accomplished via the two rubberized buttons on the left side of the housing. The dot can be adjusted for windage and elevation within a 45 MOA range and with 1-MOA click values using the dials at the rear of the sight.

The housing of BARS sight is made of hard-coat anodized 7075-T6 aluminum. The sight is fully sealed and is shock and water resistant. The BARS sight is powered by a single CR 2032 battery. The battery life is 10,000 hours. The access to the battery compartment is from the right side of the housing which will allow changing the battery without removing the sight from the Picatinny rail. The dimensions of BARS sight are as follows: length – 63.5mm (2.5″), width – 30mm (1.18″), height – 39.8mm (1.57″).
