Savage Arms is busy. Over the past few years they’ve got back into the pistol business, they’ve overhauled their Axis bolt-action, they’ve introduced the Renegauge shotgun, they introduced their first lever-action since the Model 99 was canceled, they rebooted the value-oriented Stevens line with the Model 334 and they’ve shuffled their rimfires around a bit. Ruger unveiled the Harrier at SHOT Show 2026, a redesign of their AR-15 platform. This is not a refresh or an update to the AR-556. The Harrier represents Ruger's latest engineering direction for modern sporting rifles, featuring new receivers, revised handguards, and detail improvements aimed at mil-spec compatibility and ergonomics.

Most of you probably know that the cup and draw stamping is the primary method of manufacturing cartridge cases. Some may also know about lesser-used technologies like machining the basic case and then final die forming. But did you know that it is also possible to make cartridge cases with the Metal Injection Molding technology? United Defense Corp.’s M-PACT (Molded Performance Alloy Case Technology) cases are MIM-produced, which, according to the company, provides superior structural strength to withstand extreme pressures and allows for tighter tolerances and improved consistency.

G80 is a Defense Distributed project started to revive the once popular but at some point virtually killed 80% build segment. The G80 80% pistol build products are not a copy of what was available previously, though, but a more advanced design. The G80 kits allow building Glock 19 Gen 3 parts-compatible pistols. The steel receivers, polymer frames and the jig/tool set to complete the build can be purchased on the company’s website; however, this is an open-source project and if you want to build everything yourself, the company provides free-to-download files for all the components.

Dead Air Silencers announced six new suppressors at SHOT Show 2026, all available in black or FDE. The headline releases are the Nomad Ti OTB, RXD910Ti, and the CT5P patrol suppressor, which comes in four different mount configurations.

New for 2026 from Israeli FAB Defense is the AMP pistol conversion kit. One of the main features that sets the AMP apart from the company’s KPOS pistol conversion kits is the open top design, which makes it compatible with pistols with slide-mounted optics.
