[SHOT 2026] Tricked Out Hi-Power And Affordable MP5 Lights From SDS

SDS Arms had several interesting new items on display at SHOT Show across their brands. The Inglis 2035 Hi Power adds 2011-ish upgrades to the venerable BHP platform. [SHOT 2026] First Look - Spuhr AR-15 Upper Receiver

Back in the summer of 2025 we got the first word that Hakan Spuhr, the Swedish inventor and master machinist who brought us innovations like the Spuhr stock, his unique mounting interface system and some of the best optics mounts available, had developed an AR-15 upper receiver. [SHOT 2026] Updated Burris Veracity Scopes and Rapid Engagement Design

Burris has updated their Veracity line of riflescopes by deleting the internal digital screen and introducing new reticles as well as a controls design called RED (Rapid Engagement Design) that features aggressive knurling along the power ring, turrets, and turret caps. The RED upgrade will be applied to other Burris scopes as well and products featuring this industrial design can be distinguished by the red ring behind the magnification adjustment ring.

[SHOT 2026] Adams Arms Launches Side-Charging Piston AR Line

Adams Arms are well known for their line of piston guns but what caught my eye at their booth at this year’s SHOT Show was their new side-charging rifle. Last year Adams Arms was taken over by OEM manufacturer Alexandria Pro-Fab, who had previously sold the side charging components as kits and rifles.

[SHOT 2026] US-Made SR-3M Clone by Roswell Rifle Works

Almost every American AK blogger and influencer could be found at the SHOT Show 2026 booth of a company called Roswell Rifle Works because they have released a US-made reproduction of the Russian SR-3M rifle, the holy grail of 9x39 guns. The Roswell Rifle Works SR-3M replica is 95% true to the original. The only changes are the addition of the M-LOK slots on the handguard, replacement of the original 3-lug suppressor mount with 14×1 LH muzzle threads, slight design alterations of some internal parts to simplify the manufacturing and, of course, being designed for the US civilian market, it is semi-auto only and the non-NFA variants come without a vertical front grip.

[SHOT 2026] Steiner MPS-C Ultra-Compact Enclosed Handgun Reflex Sight

At SHOT Show 2026, Steiner introduced a new enclosed emitter handgun red dot sight called MPS-C. Based on the MPS design, this new red dot is noticeably shorter (1.89” vs 1.46”) and lighter (2.05 oz vs 1.13 oz) than its elder sibling. At the same time, the MPS-C has slightly larger objective lens dimensions (21x19mm vs 20x16mm).

The Level 1 of the SHOT Show is where the relatively smaller and newer companies normally are and that’s where you usually see experimental, weird and downright mindblowing stuff. For that exact reason, I love being there. This year, for this writer, one of the most intriguing and interesting guns seen in the Level 1 and possibly in the entire show was the Blecher LLC’s BrashZero caseless bullpup rifle that utilizes standard 5.56 NATO ammunition components (primer, powder and projectile) delivered separately into the chamber from dedicated reservoirs in the magazine.
