Beretta's New 22LR B-22 Jaguar Rimfire Competition Pistol
@BallisticAviation is at SHOT Show 2026 Industry Day at the Range to check out the new B-22 Jaguar from Beretta. The B-22 is a purpose-built .22 LR rimfire competition pistol that brings the classic Jaguar name into a modern, race-ready platform for steel challenge, action rimfire, and serious training. It is a metal-framed, internal-hammer, single-action-only pistol built around a modular fire-control unit that delivers a crisp trigger and consistent reset. The line includes a base Metal model and an upgraded Metal Competition model with a semi-flat adjustable trigger, fiber-optic sights, gas-pedal thumb rest, and a compensator. An optics-ready 1913 rail, threaded barrel, and ergonomic controls make it easy to set up with a red dot, suppressor, or accessories, while the soft recoil and 15-round magazines make the B-22 Jaguar an ideal .22 LR race gun and training pistol.

The OMSx has the same wide viewing window as Shield Sights’ popular RMSx but combined with the translucent roof it creates the visual effect of an even larger window. Shield Sights say this allows shooters to pick up the dot faster and track targets more intuitively under speed and stress.

The Chiappa Rhino is one of the most recognizable handguns in the world, and certainly one of the most modern revolvers you can buy. It has appeared in anime, film and television as the hand cannon of choice for good guys and bad guys alike—but it was never available in .44 Magnum, long the standard revolver chambering for people who mean business. Thankfully, that long-standing error has been rectified. Today at SHOW Show, Chiappa was showing off a Rhino chambered in .44 Magnum. It follows a version in mid-2025 that was released in 10mm.

[SHOT 2026] The American Kalashnikov - Stenzel Industries SAK-21
Stenzel Industries SAK-21 was released a couple of months ago, and for me, as an AK aficionado, this was one of the top firearms I wanted to see and shoot at the SHOT Show 2026 because it looks like a very interesting evolution of the AK platform that borrows the best mechanical solutions from the Kalashnikov and combines them with modern design elements. At the same time, this is not just a modern-looking chassis with AK guts. While SAK stands for the Stenzel American Kalashnikov, the only interchangeable parts with the AK are the magazine and the pistol grip.

SHOT Show is full of hidden gems. You just have to know where to look. KAK had teased the new water-cooled kit on social media in the weeks leading up to SHOT so we knew we had to pay them a visit!
