Photo Of The Day – The best online place to view the coolest images of firearms and soldiers. We have U.S. Marines from across Marine Corps Base Hawaii participating in the fourth quarter intramural marksmanship competition at MCBH, in August 2023. It would have been quite interesting to have participated, and see where I would have landed in the competition – using the same gear of course.
The quarterly marksmanship competition was held to promote lethality by providing Marines with the opportunity to develop and maintain their marksmanship skills.
Below: Cool to see one of the oldest shot timers still in use. A lof of Range Officers still use this one, albeit all the modern options that are available today. I guess it’s well designed and easy to use, but still looks like a brick.

I have come to the personal conclusion that the best barrel length for 5.56 is 20 inches, love seeing the M16.
Is it just me or does that last photo show a blank cartridge ejecting ?
