The images in our Photo Of The Day can be chosen for a variety of reasons. It may be because of its aesthetic qualities, its newsworthiness, its emotional impact, or its technical excellence. These were chosen because I feel jealous of not being a part of this competition. What’s better than shooting inside and off vehicles, running and gunning trying to get the best score and time? Above you see U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Toby Schindler, a close-quarters battle instructor with Marine Corps Security Forces Training Company, a Utah native, as he participates in a shooting drill during the Marine Corps Marksmanship Competition Matches at Weapons Training Battalion on Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia, April 6, 2024.
