The new Amend2 AICS magazines are now shipping to retailers. These magazines are compatible with short action calibers. Let’s take a look at the features.

Magazines @ TFB:

Accuracy International Chassis System (AICS) magazines have become the industry standard pattern for bolt actions. They were initially expensive magazines, but in recent years the prices have come down as more manufacturers have gotten into the game. The new Amend2 AICS short action mags continue that trend. There are two models available, both for short action calibers. One has a 5-round capacity ($22.99) and the other holds 12 rounds ($25.99). Compatible calibers include .243 Winchester, .260 Remington, 6.5 Creedmoor, 7mm-08 Remington, .308 Winchester, .338 Federal, and .358 Winchester. There is no .223 Remington option at this time.

The Amend2 AICS magazines are made in the USA from a polymer that can be Cerakoted for those wanting a more custom look. Stainless steel magazine springs and non-tilting followers are standard equipment. Both models are available now directly from Amend2, or at online or brick-and-mortar retailers.

running these in an actual AICS would be funny

"One has a 5-round capacity and the other holds 12 rounds."
Why 12 rounds? How about making a 10-round version for those of us stuck behind the iron curtain in a state that limits law-abiding citizens to 10 rounds?
