The Zenith ZF-56 – The Unholy Lovechild Of AR & HK33

Today Luke C is back on the SHOT Show 2024 floor with Zenith Firearms to talk about their wild roller delayed rifle, the ZF-56. This new rifle combines a lot of the handling characteristics and features of the much-loved AR-15 platform with the theoretically more robust roller-delayed blowback system. The ZF-56 will be available in both 5.56 and .300 Blackout upon initial launch, and of course, that means that the ZF-56 will be compatible with all standard AR magazines.

Gun Review: Spike's Tactical Integrally Suppressed Brown Recluse 9mm AR

Spike’s Brown Recluse is an impressive 9mm pistol caliber carbine. While the majority of the gun is similar to many other 9mm ARs, the integrally suppressed barrel is where it truly shines. Sure companies can chop a barrel and add long barrel extension to make it a rifle length barrel. Then add their baffle stack making it a single stamp gun. However that is only what you see from the outside of the Brown Recluse. The barrel is vented. Why would you vent the barrel? So that the gas from super sonic rounds can be vented away and lower the speed to sub sonic levels. Thus making regular off the shelf ammo much quieter. In fact there is no need to buy sub sonic ammo for the Recluse since it makes ammo sub sonic.

Liberty Cans Cosmic Suppressor

I got my hands on a Cosmic X Liberty suppressor from Silencer Shop to try out on my Glock 41 and Glock 21. I am using a Lone Wolf threaded barrel for my Glock 41 and Glock 21. As you can see from the photo above, the Cosmic is rather long. It is longer than my Glock 41 slide and longer than my KRISS Vector extended magazine; if you do not include the 3D printed speed plate. Although the Cosmic is long, it is rather light weight. It is made of Stainless steel and titanium and only weighs 9.5 oz. Of course shooting 230 gr .45acp is as expected. . . quiet.  I wanted to see what a monocore suppressor was like. I did not notice much difference other than the size of the can compared to a SilencerCo Osprey. The Osprey is 8.06″ long while the Cosmic suppressor module alone is 8″. With the direct thread nielsen device mount, the Cosmic measures 9.5″. With the tri-lug mount, the Cosmic measures 9,25″.
