Strike Industries COBRA Vertical Foregrip/Monopod
This new Strike Industries product, Cobra vertical foregrip/monopod, may look familiar to you. That’s because it is based on the Strike Industries MFS Monopod design. The difference is that if the MFS Monopod was an SI Modular Fixed Stock specific product due to the clamping portion designed for the MFS stock bottom loop, the Cobra has a Picatinny rail clamp which makes it a much more versatile accessory allowing to attach it to a variety of stocks with a bottom 1913 rail. Also, its dimensions and shape will allow you to use it as a vertical foregrip when it is attached to the handguard making it a dual-purpose accessory.
Custom Smith Manufacturing Forward Cant VFG
Custom Smith Manufacturing has released a vertical foregrip that has a bit unusual 10-degree forward cant. Thanks to that angle and its overall appearance, this VGF resembles the front grip of the Steyr TMP or B&T TP9/MP9.
AFVG – Angled Vertical Grip Hybrid
I saw this in a local store. When I mentioned who I write for, he said: “you may be interested in this”. It is a custom AFVG. That is not what he calls it, that is just what I called it. It is a hybrid of an angled foregrip and vertical grip.

Mid-Evil Industries 360 VFG And Drop Stop | Big 3 East
Mid-Evil Industries came out to Big 3 East. They showed off their flag ship product, the 360º rotating foregrip. aka 360RFG. It comes in three variations: Picatinny, MLOK, and Keymod.
TFB REVIEW: Tyrant Designs HALO MiniVert VFG
I swore off vertical fore grips (VFG) years ago, returning to a more traditional support hand placement. The Costa-esque C-clamp grip never quite worked for me either – if I’m being completely honest, I resisted it at first based on fad-status alone, but turning corners in close quarters situations didn’t work (again, for me) with wrapping the thumb over the top of a rail. However tasked with testing out an AR15 upper with a silencer recessed under a rail, heat management became an issue. Like a messenger from heaven, the Tyrant CNC Halo Minivert VFG dropped into TFB for a quick review.
[Review] Mid-Evil Industries 360 Vertical Fore Grip
Now before you tune out just because this is a vertical fore grip, I implore you to read a little further. A couple of years ago I reviewed a Grip Pod, but really didn’t do much with it after. It was solidly built and put up with a ton of abuse, but again, it was a vertical fore grip, and I found it just getting in the way, unless I needed a quick and expedient bipod for my rifle during 3-Gun.
Unity Tactical Low Profile VFG
Soldier Systems got a sneak peak at Unity Tactical’s newest product, a super low profile VFG. It is designed to mount to tubular and keymod handguards. It comes with all the mounting hardware. The one pictured is a pre-production sample so it may looks different when it is released. No word on price at the moment.
