Thirsty for more night vision-related content? Well, drink up here at Friday Night Lights. Last week we took a look at EOTech’s premium thermal clip-on. Well, this week we take a look at a discontinued product from Insight. The ISM-IR is the integrated sighting module. It is a red dot with an integrated multi-function aiming laser (MFAL), basically a PEQ-15. Let’s take a closer look.
Friday Night Lights: WILCOX RAPTAR S Laser Range Finding MFAL
Are you nocturnal or crepuscular? Well, either one you are all welcome to this week’s Friday Night Lights. Last week we looked at a somewhat obscure full-power laser, the ATILLA-200. This week we take a look at a long-range laser rangefinder with MFAL capabilities, the WILCOX RAPTAR S.
Friday Night Lights: B.E. Meyers KIJI K1 – VCSEL Illuminator
B.E. Meyers is known for their laser systems. Their MAWL is arguably the best small arms MFAL on the market. Will P and I both have MAWL-C1s and we are over the moon with them. Today B.E. Meyers unveiled their latest in infrared laser illumination. The KIJI K1 is a VCSEL illuminator and will offer night vision users an unparalleled infrared illuminator at an affordable price. Like previous installments of Friday Night Lights, this series is sponsored by ATN Corp, manufacturers of night vision and thermal optics like the THOR LT. As with all of our sponsored series, Friday Night Lights will continue to bring you unbiased news and reviews from a variety of companies.
New Viridian Weapon Tech HS1 Infrared Hand Stop Laser
By far the most popular way to aim a rifle in complete darkness is with IR lasers in tandem with a night vision device. IR lasers give you great accuracy potential and a less complicated aiming process when you are equipped with a head-mounted night vision device. Viridian Weapon Technologies has just added the new HS1 infrared hand stop laser to their existing lineup of visible red and green rifle-mounted lasers.
Friday Night Lights: SureFire XVL2 – An All-In-One Multi-Function Aiming Laser
Back again for some more Friday Night Lights? Welcome! We are sponsored by ATN Corp, manufacturers of night vision and thermal optics like the THOR LT. As with all of our sponsored series, Friday Night Lights will continue to bring you unbiased news and reviews from a variety of companies. Today we take a close look at the SureFire XVL2. Friday Night Lights: Steiner DBAL-A4 All-In-One MFAL
When shooting with night vision it is a lot easier to shoot with an infrared laser than it is to shoot passively looking through an optic like a red dot. You have better situational awareness and a clearer sight picture. There are only a handful of trusted manufacturers that make MFAL (Multi-Function Aiming Lasers) and Steiner is one of the top three. For this week’s installment of Friday Night Lights, we will take a closer look at Steiner’s flagship laser, the DBAL-A4
FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS: Holosun LS321G – IR/VIS/Illuminator Review
For those who like to shoot in the dark with night vision, often it is easier to aim with a laser than try to look through your optic while wearing NODs on your face. Most night vision users tend to go to Steiner for their DBAL or L3 for their ATPIAL/PEQ15. While those two are the industry standard, besides the BE Meyers MAWL-C1+, there are other options for a Multi-Function Aiming Laser (MFAL) like the Holosun LS321G.
FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS: Streamlight's Night Vision Friendly Weaponlight/Laser – TLR-VIR II
At SHOT Show 2019 Streamlight showed off their new TLR-VIR II. It is a compact pistol weapon light that is night vision friendly. It has visible white light, IR illuminator, and an IR laser. The best part? It costs less than the SureFire X400V.
PSQ-18 Grenade Launcher Sight – Night Vision IR Illuminator On a Budget
Insight is well known for making weapon lasers like the PEQ-15. They also made a weapon laser sight for grenade launchers. The PSQ-18 and PSQ-18/A are the laser sights for the M203 and M320 grenade launcher. They have a laser pointer but they also have an integrated IR laser illuminator that works very well.

Review: Wilcox RAPTAR Lite ES – Weapon Light/Laser
Wilcox is synonymous with night vision. They are one of the leaders of night vision accessories and have been making weapon lights and lasers for decades. Their Wilcox RAPTAR came out a few years ago as a laser pointer and laser rangefinder. However, the RAPTAR is rather expensive. So Wilcox decided to make an entry-level version without the laser range finder and replaced it with a visible white light. The RAPTAR LITE ES was born.

IR LASER ZERO with Telluric Group Targets
Zeroing a rifle can be a long and tedious process. Without a proper zero, capabilities are significantly diminished. When zeroing an IR laser it can be even more difficult as visibility is reduced throughout the process due to the process requiring night vision. When zeroing with NODs, shooting position is different than when using a red dot or scope. The shooter must look over the rifle to find where the laser is pointed and cannot rest their chin on the rifle.Telluric Group designed targets to help make the ir laser zeroing process easier.
[SHOT 2018] Aimshot Wireless Controlled Weapon Laser And Light
Aimshot makes inexpensive lights and lasers for firearms. They have a new weapon laser and weaponlight setup that comes with a wireless rail mounted remote tape switch. I was intrigued by a wireless switch since the cables on tape switches have a tendency to snag on things. This eliminated this problem.
