IDEX 2021, compared to previous editions, had a few challenges to overcome, most prominently a global pandemic that killed the majority of comparable events, both in the US and in Europe. Despite this obstacle, the organizers were able to welcome a wide range of exhibitors, including some newcomers. On the other hand, some traditional presences either decided not to attend or were forced to leave empty booths, leaving an edition with few new releases. Yet, there was some stuff that is not so common and is still cool to look at.
IDEX 2021 – Sero International Ltd. from Hungary at Resource Industries

Resource Industries is a UAE-based provider of military equipment that among
armored vehicles and
body armor, distributes the peculiar rifles manufactured in Hungary by Sero International Ltd. We are somewhat familiar with
GM6 Lynx in .50 BMG, but so far we only had a glimpse of its bigger brother, in this
awesome factory tour report.
The GM3M really dwarfs the Lynx and to save some length adopts a semi-bullpup configuration reminiscent of the Denel Inkunzi PAW. Resource Industries staff did the effort of filming the shooting of a magazine out of this monster. Quite impressive.

IDEX 2021 – Steyr from Austria
[IDEX 2021] Cool Stuff from Around Europe aka IDEX Photo Dump – Steyr SSG M1 modular sniper rifle, note the AR-15-style spring-loaded dust cover, quite uncommon on bolt action rifles.
In 2019 Steyr showed at IDEX both its interpretation of the AR-15 and a
.300 BLK version of the AUG. The first is now an abandoned project, as it had no military adopters nor it was economically viable on the crowded (American) civilian market. On the other hand, the .300 BLK AUG is being manufactured for military units and this is taking up the full production capacity, it won’t reach the civilian market before 2022. You may start saving up now.
In the photo, we have the SSG M1, a modular precision rifle that can be configured to .338 LM, .308 Winchester, and now 6.5 Creedmoor. More info here.
IDEX 2021 – Fratelli Tanfoglio from Italy
[IDEX 2021] Cool Stuff from Around Europe aka IDEX Photo Dump – Tanfoglio TCPM-9.
IDEX 2021 – TRB from Bosnia and Herzegovina
[IDEX 2021] Cool Stuff from Around Europe aka IDEX Photo Dump – TRB Vampir models.

[IDEX 2021] Cool Stuff from Around Europe aka IDEX Photo Dump – TRB Vampir luxury model.
Nothing particularly new from
TRB since 2019, the company is still fulfilling government orders in the region and due to production constraints cannot supply the civilian market. They plan to, yet their production capacity is so far constrained.
