New AR-15 Handguards And Grips From Ergo

New AR-15 Handguards And Grips From Ergo

Ergo Grips has some new and new/old handguards and grips for the AR-15. Ergo was one of the original makers of AR upgrade parts. This latest batch of offerings refreshes some of their classic designs for the modern day.

First up is the Carbon Fiber Handguard. It utilizes an aluminum barrel nut and can be installed with a standard AR-15 barrel nut wrench. With a retail price of $219.99, it “only adds 4.5 ounces to the weight of the rifle.” It also has some serious retro aesthetics.

The Original Ergo Grip Extreme Texture “Retro” Rigid Grip is a throwback to one of the first popular aftermarket AR grips. This particular version would be correct for certain Mk-12 builds or other early GWOT clones. It retails for $19.98 and includes mounting hardware as well as a “Gapper” to fill the space behind a standard AR trigger guard.

Sticking with the old-school theme, the Fox Bat “Retro” Rigid Grip is designed for precision shooting. It features a more vertical grip angle and ergonomics that are similar to some target pistols. It is in stock as of writing with a retail price of $59.99.

The Modular M4 Forward Rail is a more modern take on an older Ergo rail, updated with MLOK slots. It clamps to the classic front sight base and adds accessory mounting points ahead of the FSB. It retails for $89.99

    From the manufacturer:

LIMITED AVAILABILITY. Step back in time to our original ERGO Grip. This rigid plastic grip is a recreation of our retro grip and is perfect for the enthusiast looking to clone the MK 12 Special Purpose Rifle.

The original Ergo Grip, developed by Steve Hines, was the first truly ergonomic, shooter-focused grip for AR platform rifles. Designed for performance by creating a better interface between the shooter and firearm, the Ergo Grip is still the standard by which positive grip and shooter comfort are measured. The Ergo Grip comes with the proprietary Gapper™ for increased comfort and an Installation Hardware Pack.
