Brazil’s Sal Paulo Civilian Police have just selected a new submachine gun along with all of its cool bells and whistles for its latest addition to the law enforcement agency’s arsenal. The B&T APC9-G PRO 9mm submachine gun will allow officers complete magazine compatibility between current service pistols as well as the 700 new submachine guns that the agency has purchased from B&T USA. This is B&T USA’s second contract in recent memory with the country of Brazil with B&T previously fulfilling a contract for the APC40 to the country’s Polícia Militar (military police).

Nova Submetralhadora: Brazil’s Civil Police Select the B&T APC9-G PRO

Tampa, FL (June 12th, 2023) – B&T USA is proud to announce the São Paulo Brazil Civilian Police have purchased 700 B&T APC9-G PRO models equipped with MBT folding and telescoping stocks, Glock compatible lower receivers, RQD suppressors and Aimpoint ACRO P2 optics on B&T QD mounts. This acquisition is part of its plan to modernize the equipment of its security forces. These compact weapon systems are chambered in 9mm, allowing cartridge commonality between the divisions service pistols and its new submachine gun.

The APC9 PRO utilizes a hydraulic buffer system to drastically reduce felt recoil and muzzle rise and is the workhorse of the APC PRO line. The platform features functional updates include dual auto-folding, non-reciprocating and ambidextrous charging handles, improved lower receiver ergonomics that include a side positioned bolt hold open/release, removable M4 compatible grip, and Magpul M-Lok accessory slots located on the forend. Additionally, the APC9 PRO is compatible with standard B&T, Glock and SIG P320 magazines.

Many Brazillian law enforcement agencies have started to diversify their list of available weaponry to their various military and law enforcement agencies. Previously, Brazil was content to use a lot of older firearms as part of their arsenal as well as their domestically produced Taurus firearms. The B&T APC9-G PRO model only slightly differs from the standard version of the APC9 Pro in that the “G” model designates the subgun’s use of Glock mags over the B&T style magazines.
