Nosler Model 21 Carbon Chassis Hunter Rifle (1)

Nosler Model 21 bolt action rifle was introduced in September of 2021. It’s the company’s second bolt gun design with the first one being the Model 48. Nosler has just announced the expansion of the Model 21 line with a chassis model called Carbon Chassis Hunter (CCH), the first chassis rifle by Nosler. Let’s take a quick look at the specs and features of this new iteration of the Model 21 rifle.

The middle section of the Nosler M21 CCH rifle’s chassis is made of a magnesium alloy and has a V-block bedding system. The foam-filled carbon fiber stock is folding, has ambidextrous QD sling swivel sockets, and features an adjustable length of pull and cheekpiece height. The carbon fiber handguard has a full-length bottom integrated ARCA rail, M-LOK slots on the sides and top of its front portion, ambi QD sling sockets and a bottom sling swivel stud. The rifle is compatible with AR-15 pistol grips and comes with an MDT carbon fiber pistol grip installed. The overall weight of the chassis is 26 – 31 oz.

Nosler Model 21 Carbon Chassis Hunter rifle will be initially offered chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor, 6.5 PRC, 28 Nosler and .300 Winchester Magnum. The rifle is fed from AICS pattern detachable box magazines and comes with a four or five-round magazine. The ambidextrous magazine release latch is integrated into the trigger guard. The carbon fiber wrapped Sendero contour barrels are 24″ or 26″ long depending on the cartridge. The rifle also features Trigger Tech Primary triggers and two-lug fluted bolts with M-16 style extractors. The M21 CCH rifle weighs in at 6.9 lbs in the short action configuration and the long action version tips the scales at 7.1 lbs. The MSRP of the Nosler Model 21 Carbon Chassis Hunter rifle is $5395.

    I'm sure the noslers are a nice rifle, but you can build this yourself with an MDT HNT26 chassis (which is what nosler is using) for significantly less than what these boys are asking. I didn't think nosler had a big enough reputation as a rifle builder to ask 5400 dollars for a rifle if I'm being honest. I've never seen one in the wild.

      @BobinMI 5,395 - That's MSRP - not street / store real prices. I'm sure it will be far under that number. Thinking that it will be somewhere in the 4,200 - 4,400 - maybe $4,600 range, and seeing that the stock (1K) the bbl (1K) the action (1K) trigger, mag box,.... and gunsmith work maybe $4K total? Seems to me that they aren't all that far off the mark.

    A very interesting rifle. One can get the single shot Barrett for this kind of money
    but it does not have the carbon fiber chassis.
