[SHOT 2022] The DVG-1 And CPX-1 Gen 3 From SCCY
SCCY showed off a few new and updated models of their concealed carry pistols at SHOT Show 2022.
SCCY’s newest pistol model, the DVG-1, is a striker-fired cousin of the CPX-1. The trigger pull is listed at 5.5 pounds, with a flat-faced aluminum trigger shoe. It will be offered with and without optics cuts. The general size and feel of the DVG-1 is similar to the CPX models, but with the trigger pull you would expect from a striker-fired gun. SCCY said it would begin shipping at the end of the month.
Both the DVG-1 and the CPX-1 Gen 3 have the “Roebuck Quadlock” barrel lockup system. In short, it uses a V-shaped block at the front of the slide to lock the barrel against the breech when the gun is in battery.
The CPX-1 has been updated and improved to a “Gen 3” model. The Gen 3 has a smaller, reshaped safety lever, added accessory rail, smaller grip diameter, removed finger grooves, and improved trigger pull. The trigger itself has been rotated back by 6 degrees to reduce the reach to the trigger face. The Quadlock system from the DVG-1 is also included in the Gen 3. SCCY said the Gen 3 model will become available in March.
Both the DVG-1 and CPX-1 Gen 3 are available in 10 color options (Black, FDE, Sniper Grey, Crimson, Lime Green, Pink, Purple, SCCY Blue, White, and Orange).

Still waiting for the after image to fade from the neon green crap.
I love a lot of these cheap Saturday night special type guns, but I can never justify buying them when I have a collection of good guns I hardly get any time to shoot. I really want a cpx2, an armscor revolver, a high-point, one of those cobray guns that you could get in a 5 pack vacuum sealed in grease. I think the cpx is actually good though, lots of people actually seem to choose them in spite of the price rather than because of it.
