POTD: Sky Soldiers in V-22 Ospreys

POTD Sky Soldiers in V-22 Ospreys

In today’s Photo Of The Day, we’re looking at transportation into the Hohenfels Training Area, Germany for the Exercise Saber Junction 2020, by means of V-22 Ospreys flown by the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit. They also used CH-47 Chinooks and UH-60 Black Hawks flown by 12th Combat Aviation Brigade.

This is a very complicated air assault involving 14 aircraft, three different airframes, and two joint forces all integrating together in less than a week,” said Capt. Donald Michael, the aviation planner for the brigade aviation element.
