POTD: Full Auto! M4 Carbine at Prince Sultan Air Base, Saudi Arabia
Welcome to TFB’s full auto Photo Of The Day! Shooting full auto is something everyone wants to do, as often as possible. In reality, only a few get to do it, ever. I’ve only shot full auto a few times in the military, and once in the deserts of Nevada.
SILENCER SATURDAY #244: HUXWRX FLOW 556K Full Auto Range Time
Good afternoon everyone and welcome back to TFB’s Silencer Saturday brought to you by Yankee Hill Machine, manufacturers of the YHM R9 multi-caliber suppressor. Last week we got a taste of Swiss rimfire with the B&T 22 Suppressor with the CMMG AR-15 .22LR conversion kit. This week we take the HUXWRX FLOW 556K full auto to see how it handles cyclic rates and blowback management. Let’s take a look at the video.
POTD: CZ 75 Automatic
In today’s Photo Of The Day, we have a set of pictures published by Ceska Zbrojovka depicting one of the rarest CZ 75 pistol subspecies – the CZ 75 Automatic. As the model name implies, this is a select-fire handgun, a member of the machine pistols family of firearms that includes guns like Beretta 93R, Mauser M712 Schnellfeuer, Glock G18, APS, H&K VP70, etc.
SilencerCo Maxim 9 Mini-Documentary
In this episode of TFBTV, James Reeves visits SilencerCo to talk about the SilencerCo Maxim 9. James and Jake of SilencerCo talk about the past, present, and future of this ambitious project, and even shoot the only full-auto Maxim 9, which fires at a blistering 1,300 rounds per minute (the notoriously fast Glock 18 fires at 1,100 rounds per minute). If you aren’t familiar with the Maxim 9, according to SilencerCo:
A Rare .22 Machine Gun: The American-180 M2
The American-180 is a rare .22LR submachine gun developed in the 1960s which fires .22LR from a wind-up pan magazine. It originated with the Casull Model 290 that also used a flat pan magazine. Only 80 Casull M290s were built. The American-180 is an improved version of the Casull design. Today, James Reeves speaks with Brad of Blue Force Gear about this rare .22 SMG.
POTD: The M3 "Grease Gun" on Full-Auto
An American .45-caliber submachine gun on full-auto. I think most people would think of the Thompson M1A1 submachine gun, except this one came in service from 1943, and was much cheaper to produce. The M3 submachine gun (a.k.a. Grease Gun) is our Photo Of The Day.
Coat Hanger Machine Gun DIAS (Drop In Auto Sear)
Some of you may or may not know of the infamous “shoe string machine gun”. A piece of string can be tied to the charging handle of an MI1 or similar firearm, then wrapped around the trigger guard and looped onto the trigger. With the correct length and tension, the travel of the bolt will pull the trigger and continue firing until there is a malfunction or you run out of ammo. Well now there is a new DIY method for an AR-15. The coat hanger machine gun.
Battle Arms Development: Rocking Full Auto with the Tanker and Paratrooper SBRs
For this episode, we took a trip to the folks at Battle Arms Development in Las Vegas and were able to get our hands on some of the companies newest rifle entries that were premiered at SHOT this year. The Tanker and the Paratrooper is sort of the manifestation of Battle Arms in the company entering the full rifle market from the parts manufacturing business. They also have a lightweight piece, a .308 rifle, but these aren’t covered as much in the episode above.
[SHOT 2018] Machine Gun Armory Semi-Auto M249 "Pistol"
So far the only U.S. civilian legal semi-automatic version of the venerable M249 Squad Automatic Weapon was from the same company that makes the actual machine gun, FN Herstal. However, we recently learned about another semi-automatic M249, from Utah based Machine Gun Armory. The company has usually dealt with Military, LE, and international customers in the select fire and fully automatic departments, going to such events as SOFEX held in Jordan. But at SHOT 2018 we were able to get our hands on Machine Gun Armory’s semi-automatic civilian legal M249, know as the MGA Mk46 at the company. I asked a representative if their firearms were made using FN Herstal parts kits, or how much was actually made in-house but didn’t get a clear answer. One major point setting their builds apart from the FN ones are that the MGA Mk46s don’t have a STANAG magazine port. Not a bad subtraction really.
Crosman's New Full Auto DPMS SBR
Crosman Corporation announced a new full auto air rifle that is based on the DPMS PDW design. Yes – full auto fire in your backyard for less money than a tax stamp would cost on the transfer of a full auto firearm.
Privately Owned Fully Automatic Firearms BANNED in Pakistan
The Pakistani Ministry of the Interior made an announcement in November of this year, that Pakistani citizens who have Prohibited Bore licenses with registered fully automatic firearms will have to either surrender their firearms or convert them to semi-automatic by January 31st, 2018. Punjab Arms & Ammunition Company just recently shared two photos of documents that are being circulated right now, notifying citizens of the ban and how to proceed. The ad in the paper below has “Public Notice” as the title.
Full Auto Maxim 9
Andrew Quant of Atwell Tactical modified a SilencerCo Maxim 9 to be full auto.
CZ Scorpion Evo 3 Machine Gun | FULL AUTO!!!
The CZ Scorpion Evo 3 made a heck of a splash when it was introduced in 2010 and an even bigger splash when it hit the US market in 2015. In this episode of TFB TV, Patrick gets a chance to put some ammo through a factory machine gun and really get acquainted with the sub gun. Since this is a dealer sample, it gets all of the cool things like a 4 position selector switch, a folding stock, and we even have a tri-lug adaptor on the end of the machine gun so a Dead Air Wolf 9SD suppressor can be fitted for the ultimate in sub gun goodness.
