SILENCER SATURDAY #114: Die Another (Leap) Day – The Covert GSL Pill Box
Good afternoon everyone and welcome back to another edition of TFB’s Silencer Saturday brought to you by my friends at Yankee Hill Machine, manufacturers of the new Resonator K 7.62 suppressor. We continue last week’s rimfire suppressor host journey with a look at two very unique silencers – the GSL Pill Box and Pill Box Plus. Designed as “last ditch” devices, these Pill Boxes are the smallest rimfire silencers available on the market. Should you buy one for your NFA collection? Let’s take a look.
SILENCER SATURDAY #110: GSL Phoenix – Best Subgun Can On Earth?
First off, I sincerely apologize for my clickbait title – I am mostly poking fun at a site that loves to use out-of-this-world headlines. Literally. But in all honesty, the GSL Phoenix (formerly the Gemtech MK-9K) could possibly be the best submachine gun silencer ever made. Keep in mind however, like the rest of life, there is no free lunch. But before we get into the review, welcome back to the 110th installment of TFB’s Silencer Saturday brought to you by my friends at Yankee Hill Machine, manufacturers of the new Resonator K rifle suppressor. Fresh off of the whirlwind of SHOT Show 2020 I have stacked up a few months of reviews, starting with the YHM Resonator K, the Dead Air Nomad L, and three from GSL Technology. We’ll kick it off today with the GSL Phoenix – a grail suppressor for me ever since the MK-9K went underground.
Integrally Suppressed Sten Suppressor Coming Soon From GSL Technology
When I visited GSL Technology they had a few projects they were working on. At the time I could not post about them since they were still works in progress or they were waiting on patent pending like the GSL Technology Boss emergency suppressor. One of their other projects has just got the green light to be published. They are making a Sten suppressor.
GSL Technology Pill Box Suppressor Coming Soon
Last time I visited GSL Technology they had some items that were not yet ready for public announcement. Their Boss emergency suppressor was one of them. Well they have just decided to offer their Pill Box suppressor to the public for the first time.
GSL Tech – Boss Emergency Suppressor
If you recall, I got a chance to visit GSL Technology back in August. There I learned that Greg Latka, founder and owner of GSL Technology, was the wizard behind the curtain at Gemtech. One of the things Greg designed and developed was the Gemtech Aurora. Well he has continued to develop his original design and now that they have received patent pending, I can share the secret behind the Boss emergency suppressor.
GSL Technology – The Company That Built Gemtech
Earlier this year, Pete wrote an article about Greg Latka and GSL Technology. Well earlier this month I got a chance to visit GSL Technology and meet the people behind some of the most iconic suppressors in the past two decades. Many people are not familiar with the name GSL Technology or its founder and owner Greg Latka. In fact GSL is Greg’s initials. Greg and GSL Technology was the company that built Gemtech.
TFB's INNOVATORS FRIDAY: Greg Latka And GSL Technology Suppressors
More than 30 years ago, Greg Latka, the founder of GSL Technology, decided to switch gears from a focus primarily on the aerospace industry towards following his passion – designing and building suppressors and other firearm parts. Ever since then, Latka and GSL engineered and manufactured some of the most popular silencer models sold in U.S. history, putting quiet combinations in the hands of tens of thousands of shooters across the country. If you’ve ever been to a stocking FFL/SOT NFA dealer, chances are you’ve seen or even held a GSL build.
