#.410Bore
Heritage Manufacturing Range Side 410 Bore Lever Guns
Heritage Manufacturing are expanding their line of lever action firearms with the introduction of the Range Side series. These new lever guns are chambered in 410 Bore which should mean they are shotguns but Heritage Manufacturing call them rifles, so maybe these are slug guns? That’s why I decided to use a neutral term – lever gun.
Heritage Badlander Now Available in 20 Gauge and .410
Heritage Manufacturing Co. have announced additions to their Badlander side by side shotgun range. Joining their 12 gauge are new .410 and 20 gauge versions. The Badlanders have a pair of 18.5-inch barrels with a black oxide finish and a walnut stock. The guns have an overall length of 35 inches and weigh in at around 100 ounces unloaded. They have brass front bead sights and tang safeties. The new Badlanders join their Barkeep and Rough Rider revolver lines and their Settler lever-action and Rancher revolving rifles. Heritage Manufacturing Co. did not include an MSRP for the two new shotguns in their announcement but the 12 gauge version of the Badlander has an MSRP of $893.99.

The Rimfire Report: The Savage Model 24 Combination Gun
Hello and welcome back to another edition of The Rimfire Report. This ongoing series is all about rimfire firearms, ammo, history, shooting sports, and more! Last week we got to talk about the really cool Iver Johnson M1 Carbine 22LR rifle. I was surprised to hear that at least one of you in the comments owned one but simply loathed that you couldn’t find magazines for it. The only reliable place I know to purchase magazines for that specific gun is from Iver Johnson themselves, however, the magazines don’t ever seem to be in stock and your next best bet is probably paying twice as much for one on GunBroker. This week we’re taking a look at another discontinued gun, that has seen modern variants rise up to take its place. I am of course talking about Combination Guns, specifically the Savage Model 24. This 22LR/.410 Bore combination gun has a rich history in both the military and the civilian world and lives on today in the form of the Savage Model 42 rifle.
The Judge is Home: Taurus Introduces the New Judge Home Defender
The infamous Taurus Judge is making a return, this time with a much longer barrel to guarantee accuracy, and an integrated picatinny rail for the adoption of today’s modern reflex sights and scopes. Taurus is proud to finally introduce the new Judge Home Defender. Like previous versions of the Judge, the revolver still makes use of the 45 Colt / 410 Bore 3-inch cylinder but adds a bunch of new modern design elements and features that mark the next chapter in the Judge’s evolution.
HOT GAT or FUDD CRAP? Tactical Lever Action or Can't Get No Satisfaction?
Welcome everyone to the 201st edition of ‘Hot Gat or Fudd Crap?’, one of our many series here on TFB. If you’re new to the series, this is where we look at the most obscure firearms that are actually for sale and ask the question – is this Gat a sweet deal or only has a Fudd appeal? Each week the TFB staff weighs in with their thoughts, but readers get the final say in the poll at the bottom of each article.

[SHOT 2023] The Baby KSG is Here! The .410 KSG Shotgun
In this episode of TFBTV, James Reeves is at the Kel-Tec booth during SHOT Show 2023 to discuss the new Kel-Tec .410 KSG. While there’s little doubt that the 12 gauge is the king of tactical shotguns, the .410 KSG manages to bring something to the table in that its smaller barrel and tubes make this version of the KSG much smaller and lighter than the original 12 gauge KSG. Like a baby Kel-Tec shotgun! (Aww, so cute!)
Wheelgun Wednesday: KUGS HD410 – Modern 410 Bore 18-Shot Pepperbox
Florian Kohli, the designer of the Swiss KUGS company’s firearms, has an interesting outside-the-box approach to designing firearms and his guns normally have unconventional features and general design. For example, his KUGS Fatboy single-shot rifle that we took a look at earlier, has an extremely simplified design and features like a fully threaded barrel and artillery-style sliding breech. What we have for today’s Wheelgun Wednesday is another unusual gun by Florian, an 18-shot 410 Bore pepperbox called HD410. Now, pepperboxes are pretty much extinct species of wheelguns and a modern pepperbox is not something we see too often, to begin with. On top of that, like other Kohli guns, the HD410 is not a common specimen due to its size and design features such as the lack of a trigger and the overpressure safety built into the cylinder. Sounds interesting, doesn’t it? If it does, then let’s take a closer look at the design of the KUGS HD410 pepperbox.
DIY Guns: The "Smith and Meth-Son" Home Made Laser Sighted Pistol
There are very few examples of ingenuity that both impress and terrify me at the same time. This DIY pistol that was featured on the Meskwaki Nation Police Department’s Facebook page is one such example of an item. Dubbed the “Smith and Meth-Son” by the department’s officers, this pistol was confiscated from a drug dealer who at the time of his arrest was in possession of meth, and had previously been convicted of distributing cocaine. Both of these incidents are felony offenses as far as I know and thus the perpetrator (a convicted felon) was already barred from possessing or purchasing firearms – so obviously he had to make his own.
GForce Arms 410 Bore Lever Action Shotgun
GForce Arms is a company located in Reno, Nevada and they are apparently an importer of firearms made by a number of Turkish firearm manufacturers. The latest addition to their catalog is the GFLVR410 – a 410 bore lever action shotgun. As seen in the owner’s manual of this shotgun, the manufacturer is a Turkish company called Faissi.

If you’re new to the series, this is where we look at the most obscure firearms that are actually for sale and ask the question – is this Gat a sweet deal or only has a Fudd appeal? Defending the 2nd Amendment in Style – The Bond Arms PT2A
Derringer pistols are a discrete way of packing heat no matter the occasion. Other than that, derringer-style pistols have also become somewhat of a conversation piece and Bond Arms is featuring their PT2A to show their support for the 2nd Amendment. The pistol will feature a stainless steel barrel, trigger guard, and frame as well as a BAD premium leather driving holster.
