Benelli to Release Limited Edition M1014 Shotguns

Benelli has announced that they will be offering a Limited Edition M1014 semi-auto 12 gauge shotguns. The guns will be available for purchase starting from June 2017. These limited edition guns will have a US flag engraved on the receiver to honor the U.S. Marine Corps, which are arguably the most known users of this shotgun.

M1014 is basically the military designation of Benelli M4 shotgun. The limited edition guns will come equipped with a fixed skeletonized stock, pistol grip and a separate cheek rest as shown in the above image. The shotgun also features mil-spec anti-reflective surface treatment on all the external parts.

The legendary reliability of this shotgun is mainly achieved due to several design features of its mechanism. One of them is the Benelli’s A.R.G.O. (Auto Regulating Gas Operation) gas system with dual stainless steel pistons. The rotating bolt is also claimed to be one of the key elements of its reliability.

Here is a video presentation of the M4 shotgun by Benelli:

The Benelli M1014 Limited Edition will be sold at an MSRP of $2,199. Nothing is known yet concerning in what quantity the guns are made.

Although these are limited edition guns, the price is comparable to conventional M4s. That being said, I think it would be a better investment to get one of Limited Edition models. This kind of firearms are usually valued by collectors and will probably have higher resale value.
