Although SIG SAUER is best known for their firearms manufacturing, that’s certainly not all they do. They also make optics, suppressors, ammo, airguns, and plenty of other firearms-related parts and gear. In terms of optics, their product catalogue includes options for pistol micro red dot sights, LPVOs, long-range rifle scopes, rifle red dots, magnifiers, thermals, binoculars, rangefinders, and more. Prior to today’s announcement about their new Buckmasters models, TFB has covered SIG’s optics offerings quite a bit in the past, and a sampling of some of those articles is listed for you below.

Now SIG has added some new product options to their Electro-Optics lineup. They’ve partnered with hunting industry pillar Jackie Bushman, the founder of the Buckmasters family of companies, publications, organizations, and more, to develop some new co-branded optics. SIG’s new Buckmasters series will include three budget-friendly riflescope options, with a 3-12x model and two 3-9x versions. These scopes all feature a custom BDC reticle that is meant to be optimized for hunting, with holdovers out to 500 yards and eight selectable onboard ballistic groups. These scopes will be offered for sale on their own with MSRPs between $149.99 and $169.99, or as a package deal paired with a Buckmasters version of one of SIG’s rangefinders. The scope-plus-rangefinder combos will up the MSRPs to $329.99-$349.99. SIG’s release announcement for the new hunting-focused optics reads as follows.
Introducing New Buckmasters Riflescopes & Rangefinders
The Buckmasters Rangefinder and Riflescopes were inspired by Jackie Bushman to bring the performance of SIG SAUER Electro-Optics at a value that is within reach for every hunter. The riflescopes feature a custom Buckmasters Bullet Drop Compensation (BDC) reticle that has holdover dots out to 500 yards. The rangefinder will provide lightning fast ranging performance in a vivid red illuminated display optimized for low light hunting. As an extra value, the rangefinder can be used in “Buckmasters Mode” which comes equipped with 8 onboard ballistic groups, so the rangefinder can indicate which Buckmasters BDC holdover dot to use in your riflescope.
