Photo Of The Day – we’re looking at Norwegian soldiers belonging to the eFP Battlegroup Lithuania, as they’re using their Heckler & Koch 416N. Norway was among the first countries to start using the HK416, already in 2008.

Here’s the full caption from NATO enhanced Forward Presence Battle Group Lithuania:

It is of utmost importance to continually improve your shooting skills.
Familiarizing yourself with the weapon you use, its capabilities, and more importantly, using it correctly can save your life one day.
We shoot with the same caliber because #WeAreNATO and we are #StrongerTogether!
In the pictures: Norwegian troops from #eFP Battlegroup Lithuania improve their skills on the firing range.
The HK416 replaced the AG3 rifle in 2008, which had been in use since the 1960s.

Norwegia also uses the P80 pistol, but eventually, the Glock 17 Generation 4 pistol will replace the P80. Below: the FN Minimi.
