First up, the basics: The S.A.S. stock is all-metal, and attaches via a Picatinny rail. It’s actually made of 6061-T6 aluminum with MIL-A-8625 dyed and hard-anodized finish. The QD attachment points on each side are made of steel.

Of course, the Picatinny rail attachment means it can fit a wide range of firearms that use that affix their buttstocks this way, via a vertical rail at the back of the receiver.

With built-in adjustability, Samson’s S.A.S. stock can then be made to fit both the firearm and the user after.

The stock is adjustable via a spring-loaded button for both length-of-pull and comb height. The length-of-pull has a five-point adjustment, with 1.25 inches of adjustment in total. The comb has two-position adjustment for front-to-back placement and four-position adjustment for height, with 0.7 inches of vertical adjustment available.

There’s a rubber butt pad at the end of the stock, to make your rifle more comfortable to shoot. When the buttstock is unfolded and in the ready-for-action position, the measurement from the rear of the Picatinny rail to the end of the collapsed stock is 9.8 inches.

When it’s folded, the stock should not obstruct the trigger guard and safety, and it also has clearance for the charging handle on AR-style controls. It’s made to quickly deploy into the unfolded position, so you’re in action quickly.

Along with a tacticool look, that skeletonized design keeps weight down to 16.9 ounces.
