We are very blessed in the times that we live in – and I’m not referring to modern medicine, running water, and Door Dash – rather, if you are a concealed carry advocate there are countless options for actual good quality holsters. You have the literal gun holster plus a mag pouch plus a concealment wing for deeper, less obvious carry (“Is that bulge your CCW or are you happy to see me?“). If this type of “concealed carry system” looks suspiciously familiar, it is very close in its layout to the T.REX Arms Sidecar holster (Holster + Mag Pouch + Wing). While the T.REX Arms Sidecar holster might have been the first, there are a multitude of similar – if not vastly better – recreations since theirs came out.

Assembly – Bravo concealment LINKed IWB Holster: G17 Gen4 + RMR + TLR-1 HL
When it comes to the Bravo Concealment LINKed IWB Holster, like that Ikea furniture set you bought in college, there is some assembly required. This is not due to lazy Swedes though – because Bravo Concealment is an American company – rather, it is to ensure that the end-user personally fits and situates their holster to their body, build, attire, etc.
You receive a bevy of screws, rubber washers, and other components so you can build out the LINKed IWB Holsters precisely as you desire. Maybe one day you want to carry an extra magazine. Maybe the next day you don’t. The world is your oyster and you’ll be packin’ either way.
I like to wing stuff as much as anybody when it comes to assembling and building things, but it’d serve you well to check out the simple picture directions on the individual component packaging to guide your assembly process along the way. It’ll ensure a better fitment and correct order of assembly for the holster as a whole.

So, now that you’ve assembled your triple-threat holster of a mag pouch/holster/concealment wing, you’re good to go for unlimited CCW in Chicago (remember, situational awareness is more important than carrying a 10mm in your pants). How have my experiences been for the past year using this holster on and off while deploying my tried-n-true, Gucci Glock G17 Gen4 topped off with a Trijicon RMR and a Streamlight TLR-1 HL?…
I wish I had completed this review sooner for both Bravo Concealment and the readers, but after I use something for a long enough period of time, I have a brain fart and believe “it’s mine,” and completely forget it’s a review item. That might be a testament to how comfortable and easy it was to carry with this holster setup. If I was uncomfortable or hated it, I would have thrown it in the river back to Bravo Concealment by now.
I liked that there were multiple retention adjustment screws – for both the holster and mag pouch. So, I could personally set it to my preferred draw or level of resistance. In the great tundra of Minnesota from which I was born and live (we all crawl out of a frozen lake chanting “Ope” asking for hotdish at birth), we wear hoodies and layers almost year-round so I found this a very easy holster setup to conceal under clothing. Moreover, it was easy to clear a garment and draw my sidearm (whether my fingers were frozen or not).
Over the period of the last year, I never saw the retention waver or loosen. If it had, I could have simply tightened down one of the multiple retention adjustment screws. As long as the holster was perfectly situated at 12 o’clock – directly above the grapes – it was very comfortable to carry. If you rotated it to 11 o’clock or 1 o’clock, then it would stab into your hip bone on either side and that felt terrible. So, you may need to play with positioning to identify – based on your belly – where it is more comfortable to carry for Appendix Inside-the-Waistband (AIWB).

So, what are my final thoughts on the Bravo Concealment LINKed IWB Holster?… If you are looking for a Sidecar-esque holster, skip the Sidecar and buy this. It has great retention, it’s versatile enough to lay it out for your personal needs, affordable, and Bravo Concealment has a track record of quality, consistency, and great customer service. The only negative I could possibly toss out there is the holster setup is a bit rigid, but if you are carrying at 12 o’clock as I suggested, it should lay relatively flat against your body anyways (essentially a non-issue then).
