Heresy Design has come out offering upgrades for the Steyr AUG. The most notable of these upgrades are their AUG conversion kits. They offer 5.56 barrels of different lengths but it is their .300BLK barrel and 9mm caliber conversion getting the most interest from AUG enthusiasts.

Heresy Design AUG Conversion Kits

Heresy Design AUG conversions come in four flavors and two of them are different-length 5.56 barrels –  16.3″ and 14.5″. They also have two caliber conversions in .300BLK which has a 16.3″ barrel and a 9mm kit that comes with a 16.1″ barrel.

The .300BLK AUG conversion is merely a barrel swap, and for those not intimately familiar with the AUG, you can swap barrels without tools in mere seconds. The Heresy Design barrels all come with a quad rail like setup. Due to the gas block, the right side rail is shortened. But at least you have options for mounting accessories with your AUG conversion from Heresy Design.

With regards to Heresy Design’s 9mm caliber conversion kit, it is a direct blowback setup and it comes with a replacement bolt carrier, barrel, and either a modified AUG PMAG for standard waffle mag stocks or a modified PMAG for the NATO stock. They are using modified Mean Arms Endomag inserts that work with both the AUG PMAG and standard PMAG to feed 9mm into their 9mm AUG conversion kit.  The 9mm barrels come with a trilug and a 1/2×28 threaded tip.

The .300BLK AUG conversion barrel is on sale for $799.95 and the 9mm caliber conversions are $999.95. They offer two versions of the 9mm kit and that is just what magazine it comes with.
