Aight, as of Sept 23,2023 I decided to do a price check and compare faxon’s fx19 $775 (their budget) against a Gen five Glock.
    Here’s the run down…
*New Glock 19 Gen 5 Glock MOS is around $620

*Vets and first responders can get a blue label price of $477.40 via GT Distributors.

*For those of us with FDE fetishes, Gunbroker has a buy it now Gen 5 MOS in coyote for $679

Im not going to bother doing a price check on Gen III MOS because even those are well below faxons cheapest offering. However it doesn’t say what generation of parts their using in their builds. If I had to guess, Gen III?

So if these guns take Glock parts? Why not just get a glock? Even used ones are just a good as one new in box. If you look around you’ll even find deals with red dots mounted to them and their still below or at the same price as the faxon patriot.

If faxon can cut down on the aggressive unnecessary machining cuts in their slides and just put on what the gun needs and leave off what it doesn’t, then I think they can compete with Glock. Maybe.
Kudos to faxon for building these.

A glock can never look as good and classic as a 1911 or browning HP so it has to go the other way on the spectrum and look so ugly and ridiculous that it could be appealing
