POTD: Heckler & Koch G3 in Norway

    Heckler & Koch G3

We have two lives, and the second begins when we realize we only have one.” (Confucius) Or in this Photo Of The Day, life actually starts once you did your first polar plunge AND shot the Heckler & Koch G3 battle rifle.

Above you see a member of NOREX 44 (44th Norwegian Reciprocal Troop Exchange) at the rifle range with the HKG3. Heavy, wet snow had fallen the previous night, accentuating the already-stunning scenery to be had in Norway.

The “Polar Bear Challenge” outside of Camp Værnes on Feb. 20, 2017. During the bone-chilling polar plunge, members were required to reach the other side of the hole and touch the ice before walking back and pulling themselves out of the water using ski poles. Have you ever tried this?

I assume most of our readers would rather stay at the shooting range than go swimming in ice-cold water.

Target shooting with this kind of system really saves time, and helps you analyze each shot.
