Taurus Adds Special Color Models To 856 Revolver Lineup

Taurus Adds Special Color Models To 856 Revolver Lineup

Taurus is adding new limited edition color variants of the 856 Ultralite revolver. TFB has looked at some 856 models recently, including the optics-ready 856 TORO and 856 Defender models. But all of those versions were in fairly standard color schemes.

    Taurus @ TFB:

So just how many colors does Taurus have planned? Quite a few! The official list includes:

    ·Blue frame/black cylinder and barrel

    ·Blue frame/stainless cylinder and barrel

    ·Cherry frame/black cylinder and barrel

    ·Copper frame/black cylinder and barrel

    ·Green frame/black cylinder and barrel

·Rose gold frame/stainless cylinder and barrel

Taurus has not released pricing information or availability information for these models so we will have to wait and see. However, all models still include a replaceable front sight and the 6-round cylinder that is standard on the 856. The 856 is chambered in .38 Special and weighs 16 ounces empty. Keep an eye out for some flashy colors in the revolver case at your local gun store in the near future.

    From the manufacturer:

Add a little character to your carry gun with the selection of multi-color finishes on the Taurus 856! The popular 6 shot 38 Special revolver is now available for a limited time with several special edition finishes.

The best thing about the new color options for the 856 is that at its heart, the gun is still one of the best carry guns on the market. All the new color options are built off the 856 Ultra-Lite, which tips the scales at 16 ounces unloaded. With 6 rounds of 38 Special on board, it offers a 20% increase in firepower over other 5 shot models.
