The 20th Special Forces Group is a United States Army National Guard Special Forces unit. It is one of the two National Guard Special Forces groups and is headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama. The group’s primary mission is to provide highly trained and specialized soldiers to support U.S. national security objectives both domestically and internationally.

The mission was part of Northern Strike, an annual multinational joint training event headquartered at the Camp Grayling Joint Maneuver Training Center in Michigan.

As part of the U.S. Army Special Forces, commonly known as the Green Berets, the 20th Special Forces Group specializes in unconventional warfare, foreign internal defense, special reconnaissance, and direct action operations. These soldiers undergo rigorous training in various combat skills, language proficiency, cultural awareness, and specialized tactics.

    Stop saying “Operators”. Outside of SFOD-D, there are no Operators in SF. Its literally an ASI. There are zero Operators in 20 SFG.

      @Andrew Indeed, those specifically have it in their MOS, but that doesn't mean that it suddenly became retroactively only appropriate to them. All "operational" SF service members are operators, end of story.
