MK Machining PVS-30 Night Vision Fin Throw Lever

Thanks to my friend Vic for letting me know about this. MK Machining is a well-known producer of 3D printed items as well as a cool bullpup chassis for the Remington 700. They produce a lot of products for other companies but they do make their own products such as their PVS-30 night vision fin.

The MK machining PVS-30 night vision fin is an oversized scope lever that has an offset lever. One issue with the PVS-30 is the fact the objective focus ring is in front of the image intensifier. This pushes it further away from the shooter. It is exacerbated if you have a long scope. My friend Vic had issues with some of his scope setups on his long-range guns. The focus ring was just out of arms reach. The MK Machining PVS-30 night vision fin solved this problem.

Below are photos taken by Vic.

You can see the throw lever of the night vision fin is shaped to clear the protrusions of the PVS-30.

The collar has two clearance holes for the three small knobs on the focus ring. The third knob sits directly under the split in the collar under the throw lever.

One minor issue is the total travel/rotation of the focus ring is stopped short due to the night vision fin hitting the mount of the PVS-30. You will lose some close-range focus due to this which is fine since a PVS-30 is not for seeing things close to you.

The PVS-30 night vision fin retails for $74.99 on the MK Machining website and is available only in black. The collar is Nylon 11 MJF printed while the fin is 6061 aluminum.

The PVS-30 Night Vision Fin fits precisely onto the PVS-30 Clip-On NV system and includes a fin moving the focus adjustment rearward for much easier ergonomics.  Nylon 11 body and 6061 aluminum fin. New arm design will work for both common PVS-30 battery styles. Our Pro Series Throw Levers are printed using one of our HP Multi Jet Fusion 5210 printers. This allows us to get the surface finish of a modeled part with the strength and durability of standard polymer levers. Our levers are proudly printed in the USA from durable Nylon 11 material, and feature a metal thread insert for increased strength when tightening. Easily installs in a minute or less. Nylon 11 does not have the tensile strength of aluminum, but is extremely durable and will flex and yield under hard impact rather than damaging or marking your optic. This feature can be useful in a number of situations including shooting competitions and hunting when a throw lever may snag. Our levers feature a lifetime warranty.
