TFB’s Photo Of The Day has never been so diversified. Today we have U.S. Marines with the Maritime Raid Force, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, getting their uniforms wet in Japan. Looking above, is this what you imagine Special Forces look like and do every day? I think the firearm may be a plastic gun, what do you think?

Some serious Apocalypse Now vibes here.

These are real guns (and real optics), which is why they bothered to seal the muzzle.

Wonder how the communication gear works after being totally submerged under water.

@Martin Grønsdal There is a waterproofed version of the Peltor rated down to 20m - just not up for civilian sales. MePaBlu got an EarPro for civilian sales that is rated to be submerged as well. They use different connectors, not the TP120. Whats actually super cool is that you can order an addon so the mic works with "civilian" radios aswell with just one small chip on the internal PCB without some external stuff. There is an unlimited range of waterproof PTTs, f.e. by TEA which are available on ebay without going threw the process with TEA. Radios of course are "easy" to get as submersible variant - if you are a Gov Institution and pay 2-6k for one single radio already...
