POTD: Game Of Drones – Royal Marine Commandos

Photo Of The Day: You know we’re always on the lookout for the best photographers and firearms-related images. The goal is to give your eyes something worth watching every day, and today we have a combination of Royal Navy Commandos and their swarm of drones.

This image is like taken out of a James Bond movie. Which carbine do you think he’s carrying?

Here is the caption from the Royal Navy:
Commandos experiment with drone swarms…RoyalMarines have completed two weeks of experiments with swarms of drones in a first for the UK’s armed forces. This was about looking at how machines can support – not replace – the commandos on operations.
Let there be drones.

Royal Marines strike teams from Alpha Company, of Taunton-based 40 Commando, were on the ground and able to call on swarms of Malloy TRV150 drones – which can lift up to 68kg in all weathers – for deliveries of ammunition, blood and other supplies.

No need for a K9, send in the drone first. (This is obviously a smaller drone than the Malloy TRV150 mentioned above.)
