TFB’s Photo Of The Day tries to push the excellent work done by so many photographers around the world and in the firearms industry. It’s a celebration to those who go in harm’s way trying to catch those special moments, like this MV-22 Osprey taking off during the Koolendong 22 military exercise in Yampi Sound, WA, Australia earlier this year.

In the image, you can also see U.S. Marine Corps Staff Sgt. Anthony T. Graham, a platoon sergeant with 3rd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, Ground Combat Element, Marine Rotational Force-Darwin 22, as he takes cover from the strong winds generated by the rotors of the Osprey.

U.S. Marines with Marine Rotational Force-Darwin (MRF-D) 22 and Australian Army soldiers with 16th Battalion, Royal Western Australia Regiment, patrol after an air assault during exercise Koolendong 22.

The Koolendong 22 exercise was aimed at enhancing MRF-D and the Australian Defence Force’s ability to conduct combined and joint operations.
