First Shooting Sports Results from Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games

Last week, with one full year of pandemic-induced delay over the original plans, the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games finally started. Shooting competitions already offered us finals in the Air Rifle and Air Pistol categories and in Skeet. Here we’ll have a brief look at the results so far.

The first shooting matches of these Olympic Games weren’t strictly firearm-related, yet we hope to be forgiven for including them.

Air Rifle

Skeet

Hitting 56 clay in the final, the American shooter Amber English totalized an Olympic Record.

Just like his teammate, Vincent Hancock managed to reach an Olympic Record with 59 clays, just 1 short of the perfect score (and World Record).

    Yeah the guy who won Gold in air pistol is a member of the Revolutionary Guards. I guess they train 'em pretty well over there.
