    This has the potential to be one of the best mounting systems, 3 Lug quick, no moving parts, and not super heavy like the Key Mo. I wonder what the rating is though. Pistol only, or rifle too?

      @Tonka Griffin 3-lug cans have very tight tolerances, so many cheaper 3-lug muzzle adapters won't work with them. Found that out from personal experience.

    Always thought direct thread was old technology - risked over torque. In the case of the Osprey, I see them always coming lose and twisting 45 degrees on the home video due to shim or some other issues. Here is a video from Griffin with their history and high points.

      @Matt https://uploads.disquscdn.c...

      Nice run down Mr. Matt. I too am not the PoPo, nor any longer under oath to the uniformed services. Price is not a worrying consideration for me. I don't have an endless budget, but see your points clear about parity with the sunk costs between the cam lock and threaded options.

      Absent a mugging attempt or a home robbery, I don't ever envision myself in a firefight of any type, but the quick change from one platform to another seems wise to me. I am not a dooms day advocate, or one drawn to mass protests or revolutions but having a quick connect/disconnect would be best for an emergency ....shrug.

      The biggest concern is a baffle strike from a loose sub-component or the associated risk to those on the range. Not only would I be shocked,or dejected that I wasted a $1000 bucks, but I'd be livid at a failed design which self loosens. I know you are fine with occasionally doubled checking for mating tightness. Possibly that is why I am drawn to the cam lock solution. I am unsure if the cam lock is on par or better than the tri-lug mount?
