Photo Of The Day and we have great pictures where soldiers from the Swedish Home Guard and U.S. Army Green Berets train together. It is easy to lay the eyes on the Swedish Heckler & Koch G3 clone called Ak4. As you can see these have the Aimpoint CS red dot sights and stocks made by Spuhr, the Ak4 C version. Note how different they have set their stocks. The pictures are taken somewhere in Sweden in November 2020.

In a recent Wall Street Journal article titled “ Russian Aggression Spurs Neighbors to Rebuild Defenses“, the following was written:

“A U.S. Army Green Beret team is stationed full-time in Sweden to help the country’s 22,000-strong Home Guard—part-time citizen-soldiers—plan sabotage, ambush and other operations to disrupt any attempted occupation.“

  @Cry Havoc irons really aren't needed in 2021 with how good optic developments have came along
  I mean I'd argue that irons weren't needed back when ACOGs, Comp M2s, and the earlier Eotechs started getting fielded as well

  @ the G3 is super precise and the trigger is not bad at all. I hit man sized targets out to 400 m with irons on every shot (prone position).

  @Drakon590 Aimpoint batteries last literally decades.
  An Aimpoint M4 lasts 8 years continuously on.. And that's with an AA battery. Somehow i believe the issue is overblown

  @DW I had one crappy rifle during my service time. It also had several stoppages. Other than that, nice triggers and decent guns. You'd shoot 45 points on a 200 m target easily, with the irons
